PART NINE

Christopher Rodriquez's POV

I felt this was the right thing to do. May be after a year or two when we return, they would accept us. I kept looking at her sleeping peacefully in the flight.

I adjusted the strands of her hair, setting it behind her ears.

"I promise you, Ashley. I will take care of everything."

I said kissing her forehead.

"We will make it through this."

We reached at my friends place.

I carried her into the house. She was in deep slumber. After two hours, Ashley woke up.

"Where are we, Christopher?"

"In my friend's place. Only for a week or two. He is here with his wife and children."

She nodded.

"I will sort everything out." I said with a sigh.

"We will." She confirmed as she kissed me.

In two weeks, I had my office set up. I welcomed Ashley in.

"Christopher..." she was surprised.

"In just two weeks??? How did you come up with this?" she asked me hugging me tight.

"Mr Merkel, remember?" I asked her. It hit her and she nodded.

"After completing University, I planned on doing my own business and contacted Mr Merkel. It took 2 months to get him call back. He was impressed with my start-up. He became more like a friend than a financer. He wanted it in New York but I said 'no'. We were then planning it to just start it in Iowa and then develop if we reached the target. And then everything happened. I contacted him to tell everything. He gave me the idea to come to New York. And here we are."

I said making her walk into the head cabin. It was the only room which was fully furnished. I made her sit in the chair.

"Christopher!" She said with tears in her eyes as she caressed the craving of her name in the board. She turned my side and tugged me. I kneeled down next to her. She cupped my face saying "I love you." and kissed me.

It was a week later, I was busy with work when she called me to reach immediately home.

I had arranged a place to stay for time being, till the company takes off.

I ran to find the whole place decorated. As I walked in, I found my friends. We hugged each other, exchanging greets. I walked to find my best friend giving a card with my name. I opened and found

'Go to our room'

I walked past everyone to get into my room. The door had the next note.

'Take bath. You stink.'

I chuckled and ran. When I was out, I found a tuxedo lying on the bed.

"Where are you, Ashley?" I groaned and I got a text message.

'In front of you. Soon!'

She is listening to me then.

God!

"I love you, Ashley!" I shouted.

Getting a Smile emoticon from her in the reply.

The tuxedo fit me perfectly. I saw my friend and another man coming with a kit. I had my hair set and shoes put on.
