PART THIRTY-FOUR

Cole Brandon's POV

"She is right!" I said and look at Sky who was indulged in her thoughts.

Johan, our fellow batch mate and a friend, tapped me on my shoulder.

"You should probably let go off her, or she will suffocate." He said and pointed at Katy and I realized that I was still covering her mouth.

"Yeah!" I said and smiled. He walked to the bar counter.

I let go off my hand and whispered, "Sorry".

"I still hate you." She said and I covered my face with hands in despair.

"I will get us drinks." Sky said and walked towards the counter. I looked at Sky as she walked away.

"She looks happy." I said.

"Because, she is happy." Katy said, stressing on the 'is'.

I nodded, looking at Sky and smiled.

"How can you smile?" Katy asked hitting the back of my head, making me puzzled. "How can you smile knowing that she is in love with someone else?"

I rubbed my head and replied, "I don't know." still staring at Sky and turned away. "That is the same thing I asked you that day! I am happy looking at her like this, even though it is with Mr Rodriquez." I said and we were in silence.

A strange silence.

"I will take a leave then. Have to pack. Tell her." I told to Katy and stood up.

"Sky! Cole is leaving..." Katy said loud and I slump to the chair. I shook my head at Sky, who was looking at us and glared at Katy, who didn't care.

"Tell her yourself!" Katy said looking at the other side.

"I will tell her but not..." I said and was intruded.

"Tell me, what?" Sky asked and sat with the drinks.

"Nothing." I said automatically.

"He is leaving to Canada." Katy blurted out simultaneously and walked away to find the rest of the friends.

Sky face changed from perplex to frown and upset.

"Yes, I am. For two weeks. My cousins called me. It is been years since I met them."

"When are you leaving?" I asked in

"Day after tomorrow." I said.

"And you are telling me now?" Sky asked worried.

"It is just... I am going to meet them."

"Tell me the truth, Cole. I know when you lie." She said and I bite my lips not knowing what else to lie.

"I am going to meet them. That is the truth. They have been looking for a job offer for me. Now, I have a meeting with a chief doctor there, who wants me to assist him. It is more like an interview. If everything goes good, I will move there after two weeks along with my parents."

Her face a confusion that she was trying to hide.

"Are you sure, you want to move?" Sky asked.

"I guess, I want to." I shrugged and looked at the drink.

"Cole! If it because of me, I am really sorry... I..." Sky said and I hugged her.

"No." I said trying to stop her.

"It isn't because of you. It is just me, Sky." I said and backed from the hug. "I want to go, somewhere new. Somewhere far away..."

"Away from me. Is that why you are going?" Sky asked.
