Scarlett Finney's POV

In Hospital,

Where on earth is Katy?
I sighed, looking at the entrance of the cafeteria... Seeing no sign of her, I picked up my order and started eating.

And there arrived the devil.

"What took you so long?" I asked as she took the seat next to me.

"Called someoneee!" She said with a wink and took a bite from my food.

"You and your 'someone's... Go, get your food!" I slapped her hand away from my plate. She sulked and went.

"How is your day going?"

"Hectic! The five minutes I have been waiting for you is the only time, I relaxed! Weather changes and school kids you know..." I shrugged and she understood the rest.

"Thank me for being late then..." She said, chuckling. I shook my head with a smile and asked, "Yours?"

"Not much. Just completed three minor procedure... Have a three four-ish hour surgery this evening."

"Ohhh... All the best!"

"Yea... Can we go to the bar tonight!"

"And why are you asking me? What happened to that guy?" I asked and she sipped her drink replying, "Dumped him... That why I called..."

"Again?" I asked and she frowned.

"Yes, again. Stop judging!"

"I am not judging! I am just... Nothing!" I said and caressed her shoulder.

"Do you see me crying?" She asked and shook my head. "Hands off then..."

UNBELIEVABLE! This girl!

"I will come but you won't get drunk and talk about that guy... And definitely not about how good he was in bed!" I said and she laughed.

"I can't assure you that but I will try."

I was about to enter my cabin and glanced at the lobby which was almost full. I signaled the nurse to let in the patients after two minutes and walked in.

An hour later, there was a call from unknown number. The patient was just leaving. So, I attended the call.

"Dr Finney here. May I know who is speaking?"

"Good morning doctor. You gave me your card near the orphanage, yesterday. Remember Olivia? I'm her nanny speaking."

"Yes... Yeah! Olivia... I remember. Please tell me."

"Sorry to disturb doctor. Olivia is down with high fever and doctor is unavailable."

"It is probably the weather change. Don't worry. Get her to the hospital. I will check and give a prescription."

"Is it possible for you to come? Please doctor. I don't think we can come there." She was saying and I walked towards the lobby to see patients waiting and other doctors engaged. I heard the kid cough badly. "I'm sorry but I think it is getting worse. Please get her here. I will have an appointment fixed at the earliest."

"Sure, doctor. I will... We will be there." She dragged in confusion but agreed at last.

"Olivia, right?" And she hummed and confirmed she will be here before ending the call.

I got back to the routine after informing the nurse about Olivia.

I saw the nanny carrying Olivia and asked her to sit down.
