Cole Brandon's POV

Katy walked towards me. The way she looked at me was weird. I kept looking at her as she walked.

Then! I was taken by surprise.

She hugged me all of a sudden. I didn't know how to react. I kept the glass in the counter.

"K?" I asked hugging her back.

"What happened? Everything alright?" I asked. She didn't respond.

"Uh? Katy? What happened?" I asked her.

I heard her whisper something.

I pulled a little away and looked at her as she spoke.

"You told me everything, Cole. You told me everything." I stepped back releasing myself from her hold.

"What?" I asked her.

"You told me about Chris and Sky." She said and moved away.

"I must have made up things, K. It cannot be it. You know that Sky would tell us, if it is..." I answered her but it was my own questions that I kept answering.

It has to be in that way.

Why did I tell it to Katy?

God!

I rubbed my temple and leaned against the counter. My eyes snapped open as she continued to speak.

"I know that you just don't come up with those things, Cole."

She was right. I couldn't think of anything to reply her. We stood there in silence. I drank another glass of water and walked back to her.

"K, go and sleep. We will figure it out from Sky. Whatever it is." I said hanging my head down.

"You will go and ask her?" I sighed at her questioned.

"May be. When I get that much of a confidence, I will."

"Let's go." I said and walked her till the stairs to my room.

"Get in." I said. She nodded and walked few steps only to turn back.

"Cole, I like..." She said and stopped in front of me.

I almost guessed what is coming up. I interrupted her.

"I know it, K. You have told me before."

"What? When?" I eyes got wide.

"You told me when we got drunk the previous time." I said in one breath.

Because I know, even if I delay by one second, my brain will think of ways to lie or avoid the question. I don't want to lie about someone's feelings.

"I... I am sorry about that. I shouldn't have..." She shuttered. Her hands fidgeted with the sides of her dress. I caught both of it in mine and held it in front of us.

"K, right now, I don't want to tell anything about this. You know how it is. Find yourself out of this." I said. For some reason, she stood silent. For the first time, her silence bothered me.

The Katy who kept fighting with me for every other thing, stood silent with her heads down.

She looked up. Her eyes moistened the second it met mine but her lips curved into a smile.

"Everything will be fine and better, Cole." She said and nodded.

She looked lost. She accepted the defeat. She didn't want to fight anymore. It is not how Katy is. I didn't want her to feel this way. I hugged her.
