Scarlett Finney's POV

I woke up to see the time 2:15 pm.

Shit!
But then I realized, there is no rush!
I picked up my sluggish self to the kitchen to offer myself a coffee.

Scrolling through my phone, I just noticed Chris's call.

All I could remember was he wanted me to come somewhere and that was around weekend.

I texted him.

'Just got up? What was the
call about? Details please.'

I kept the phone for charge and after two hours, Chris called.

"Hello."

"Hii!" I dragged a little surprised because I didn't expect him to call at his work time.

"I just saw the message. I was busy on a..." He paused and then continued. "..Meeting!"

"Yeah! It is fine. Thank god, I didn't call."

"Even if you had, it would have been out of reach." He said with a sigh.

"Oh. Are you busy right now? We can talk later."

"No. Just driving back from a construction site."

"Say hi to Stephen." I said as I knew Stephen would be driving.

"Yeah! Stephen is here. He is just peeking at me from the rear view mirror." He said and we laughed.

"What about the weekend? I just heard half half." I asked.

"Friday evening it is? Are you free?"

"I guess, yes! I have a morning shift. So, no issues."

"Great. It is 'Businessmen of the Year' award..."

I just intruded him.

"Are you getting it? Oh my god. I would love to see that."

"I guess, my PA said most probably. But that's not a matter. I need you to come."

"Of course, I'm in." I said.

He is getting an award. How can I say no to that?

"Great!"

"So, Friday 6pm. I will have the car to pick you up."

"I have a condition." I then remembered about our meeting planned on the weekend.

"What?"

"You need to come to meet Cole and me on this Sunday eve. If it is okay with you, I am going or else no."

I heard no response in the other side.

"What are you thinking, Chris?"

"No... I was just thinking whether I should crash your romantic dinner. Isn't it a bad thing to do?"

"Romantic, What? Just shut up! You are coming on Sunday for the dinner."

"Yes but at my..."

"I know, Mr Christopher Rodriquez. At your place because you are being paparazzised everywhere."

"Great! Okay. I am about to reach. I will call you later then."

"Okay okay. Bye."

Well! An award function. Great!

I saw the calendar.

Four days to go!!
