3rd person pov:

After about 3 hours of cleaning, you were finally free from your punishment. The tack was squeaky clean, shining in the sunlight. A smile came to your face, satisfaction fulfilling your body. You whipped the sweat from your forehead and headed towards where Hange usually is.

You found her and your two friends in the experiment area. Reiner and Bertolt where hanging upside down in ODM gear, their faces flushing red.

"Ready, set, go!" Hange shouted, "crap. One more, oops!" She laughed as Bertolt fell on his back.

She held a small button in her hand that was connected to his gear. It was the size of your thumb, so easy for transportation.

You smiled as your came closer. "What's going on here, looks like a flop."

A laugh came out of Hange, "I'm trying to get this button to tighten the gear when having to hang upside down. Clearly it worked in reverse!"

"Clearly! Bertolt just got served a mouthful of dirt." You laughed, holding your stomach.

"Please, click the button." Reiner spatted out, his face extremely red.

"Oh right!" Hange said, clicking the other button which resulted into the gear tightening.

"I said let go, not keep me here!" Reiner yelled, trying to push himself out of the gear.

"Keep up the attitude!" Hange said, unbuckling him, causing him to fall on his face.

The two girls laughed, hitting each other on the shoulder.

Reiner groaned, dusting himself off. "Can we go now?"

"I guess so. Thank you Hange for keeping them entertained." You smiled.

"No, thank you! I have never had such an opposite personality work pair before! You got a good crew n/n." She smiled back, patting your shoulder.

"Thanks, we will be off now. Looks like I'll be sending people to you if they need a punishment." You joked, waving your arm dramatically.

Reiner grabbed your arm before the three of you headed towards the training grounds.

"Grouch." You pouted as. Reiner dragged you forward.

-time skip-

After a few hours of some physical fighting, the three of you were beat. You had practiced 1v1s and 2v1s. Also working on balance and executing your punches. The two men ended up being decently skilled since they fought against Annie a lot in the previous training.

"Okay, next knock down wins!" You cheered, getting into a fighting stance. The two boys nodded with smiles appearing on there faces.

Bertolt came at you first, throwing fists towards your face. Your arms rose and blocked them easily, as Bertolt was significantly less skilled then others you have fought against.

Is this all? Has the fatigue finally set in? Looks like I will have to work them harder. Or maybe is this all a diversion. It has to be! I have to check my blind spot. You thought, keeping your arms raised as your eyes peered behind you. Than, just as you expected, Reiner came barreling towards you.

You took your leg and gave Bertolt a firm kick to the stomach, causing him to fall to his knees. Turning quickly you grabbed Reiner before he could make contact, and flipped him over onto his stomach. Your legs were on either side of him, as you pulled his arms behind him.

"I give up." Reiner said, breathing heavily.

"Me too!" Bertolt said, still holding his stomach.

"Haha! Now both of you have to give me your bread at dinner!" You stuck your tongue out and rose to your feet, helping both of the guys up.

"Great work today, but the lack of stamina definitely played a big part. We can work on that more another day." A smile appeared on your face as you looked at the two of them.

"Oh here there is some dirt on your face." You said, using your thumb to take the dirt off of Reiner's cheek. He smiled as his face turned pink.

"Let's go!" You said, grabbing Reiner's hand and skipping forward.

"Captain slow down, I'm still kind of injured you know." He said, being dragged along.

You felt happiness over come you as everything started to seem to be going well... At least for now.

BOOM BOOM BOOM. The loud sound of something exploding echoed close by in the town. You stopped dead in your tracks, trying to fix your eyes on what was happening.

You than started to raced for the town, telling your friends to follow you. Adrenaline rushed through veins as the sound grew closer and closer.

Screams and cries rang in your ears as you saw people running from the explosion. Your immediate reaction was just to go toward the explosion and help everyone.

The e/c of your eyes caught a glimpse of what looked like a small boy standing in a window. "Help! Help! The pipes have burst! I can't get you!" He yelled, coughs escaping his throat as he inhaled the smoke.
"Please, help! My brothers are still inside. I need to return them to my mom!" he sobbed. You used the barrel that sat under the window sill to hoist yourself up, only to than be pushed back by a strong gust. Your vision has narrowed as limbs flew over your head and into the smoke. No! NO NO NO. You thought before your vision turned black.

"N/n! N/n! Wake up!"

The sound of the voice made you jolt awake. You could still hear the fire crackling and people screaming in the background. Rising to your feet was a struggle, but you made it.

"I need to help him, where is he." You said, dragging your, what seemed to be injured, right leg.

"N/n, slow down, you're hurt pretty badly." Reiner said, trying to hold you back.

"No! There is children suffering. I can't just sit here and let it happen." You shouted, dragging yourself back towards the smoked filled building.

Reiner and Bertolt, as well as other civilians yelled at you, telling you to turn around. You didn't care though. All you cared about was saving these kids.

You covered your mouth with your arm and entered the building. Smoke was everywhere so it was very hard to see. All you had left was touch and hearing.

The faint cry of children came from the upstairs. This was the floor right above where the other boy was. Dragging your hurt leg, you went up the stairs, looking for the children.

After making it up the stairs you saw three, what seemed to be lifeless bodies sprawled out on the floor. They all had small wounds, and their faces dried with tears.

You placed one on your back and the other two in your arms. Turning, you headed back for the stairs only to be caught by surprise. The stairs were now engulfed in flames. ..
