3rd person pov:

(trigger warning on gruesome things and throwing up!!! you have been warned)

Reiners nape was being blown open by the thunder spears. It was Levi and Hange's remaining squad fighting him. You used your gear to quickly move towards the commotion.

Your heart sank as you saw Mikasa shoot one last thunder spear into the titans mouth. Reiner's lifeless body flew out from the neck and into the air. Your gear stopped and you dropped to the ground. You just sat there shaking, trying to comprehend what happened. Spit like throw up started to cough out of your mouth. Everything on your body felt weak after that site. One of your former team mates, best friend and someone who you loved was just blown up.

He has to be alive though right? His regeneration will save him, right? You thought, your body beginning to ease up. This allowed you to use your gear to rise to the top of the destroyed buildings.

Reiners body seemed to be moving as his arm reached towards Hange. He gave something to the lady before they set off towards a different building. Reiner was than picked up by a blonde bearded man, and the Cart Titan.

"No Reiner! Don't leave!" You cried out, running at the blonde, limp man.

You made it in time to grab onto his collar. "Please, don't leave me again."

"We have to go now." The other blonde haired man said.

Words never came out of Reiners mouth. He looked as if he was trying to find something to say, but couldn't. His body was then picked up by the cart titan, and it bolted off.

Your hand slid down his chest as he was pulled away. Tears formed in your eyes as you watched him fade away. He didn't say a word to you, causing you even more pain.

After sitting in your own pool of blood and tears, you were picked up by Connie. You have seen this cadet many times with Sasha. He was a funny guy, who had the same attitude as you, making sure everyone was always happy.

His firm grasp was on your arms. You winced slightly as his hand was on your right side.

"I'm sorry, is there somewhere I can grab you so it doesn't hurt?" He asked.

"It's fine. Where is Floch?" You asked, trying to move on your own.

"I'll bring you to him." He said, using his gear to maneuver the two of you to a stable house top.

On this roof was Levi and his squad, Floch, and Hange. There were three bodies that lay in front of them, all barely clinging to life.

They had already chosen who was to live, and you were notified. You tried to forget what they said to you, not wanting to believe you would loose another friend.

"Co.. Coman... Coman... Commander." You stuttered in disbelief. He lay there, his blue eyes were dull and life less. A huge hole was in his side that had been taken out by the Beast Titan's bolder. His breath was slow and shallow, barely coming out.

You took your left hand and rubbed your eyes, trying to shake away this site, but when you opened them again, he was still there. Erwin was lying in front of you, dying.

You pulled your crushed body over to his, placing your hand on his worn out face. A smile appeared as tears started to fall.

"You always look so tired." You chuckled, rubbing his cold face. "I guess I won't be able to sneak into your office anymore, huh? I won't be able to see that soft side you have anymore."

He took all of his energy to smile at you, trying to produce words, but he was too weak to let them out.

"You weren't much of a talker either. Always kept it short and simple." Hange and Levi smiled at your words, knowing that very well.

Levi injected the serum into Armin and he grew into this small, blonde titan. He than swallows Bertolt whole, and turned back into a human. You looked away, not wanting to see your former friend be eaten. His friends swarmed around him, making sure he was okay.

Relief swept over them all as he started to respond. They started to cry tears of joy, hugging the shirtless boy.

"Let's head back now. It will be a long journey." Hange announced, rising to her feet. You could tell she was also in pain. Her squad was wiped out, and she lost two men very close to her. A best friend, and the other who was like her lover.

Levi had said his goodbyes to Erwin already who seemed to be having a really hard time dealing with it all. As the others left he stood at the edge of the roof, waiting for you.

"You're an idiot you know!" You shouted at Erwin. "Why did you do that? Why did you sacrifice yourself ? Why couldn't you just live. We need you."

After screaming at his lifeless body, your voice became hoarse. You felt weak and full of pain as you stared at him.

"I..I... l.. love.. yuh... you.. Y/...n" Erwin's voice spoke out, dry breathing between each word. His eyes than closed, and he had died.

"I love you too, Commander Erwin Smith." You smiled, as tears made lines in your bloody face.

"Let's go n/n." Levi said, trying to hide his tears. You nodded and limped over to him. The two of you used each other as support, carrying your injured bodies towards the rest of the group.

Those were your last moments with the man you came to love. You hadn't shared that many fond moments with him, but every single memory was worth remembering.

Those were the memories you never wanted to forget. No matter if they were good or bad. They are something you cherished, and held close to your heart for the rest of your life.

THE END

- Well that is the end guys! I am sorry if this wasn't the ending you wanted, but I tried to base it off of real events from the manga/anime. I will most likely create a little post Shiganshina District part. This will show you and how you have dealt with his death. I also am thinking of making a book about y/n back story, and her early years at the scouts. But thank you for everything, and I hope you guys enjoyed! :) the author is out-

-update: I will probably post the next book after I get 275-300 reads. I am just doing this so hopefully more people will be interested in the story :) It will also allow others to read this book and be able to transition smoothly into the next one!-
