3rd person pov:

Everyone had arrived back to the head quarters and barn. They dismounted their horses and took their gear off, all appearing to have calmed down.

You on the other hand, were practically sprinting down the halls, with Reiner in the middle of you and Bertolt.

The three of you arrived at the infirmary and Reiner was immediately put under medical care. You took a heavy sigh and sat on a bench next to Bertolt.

"Um, captain. What would you like for me to do now?" He asked, looking down at you.

Your had your elbows on your knees and your hands on either side of your face. You were full of worry and distress as you sat there.

"Take care of the horses please. Un tack and feed them." You spoke, your breath slightly shaking.

The brown haired man nodded before speaking, "Yes ma'am. I will be back tomorrow to check in on Reiner." He than exited the door and headed to the barn.

A short woman than opened the opposite door, coming from the depths of the infirmary.
"Captain n/n, your cadet has lost a lot of blood in this time. Fortunately, he is going to be okay. He has a deep wound on his upper thigh and a sprained ankle. Depending on how fast he heels, he should be back to working in 3ish weeks. You may come and see him now." She smiled, guiding you towards his room.

You rose to your feet and quickly followed, throwing yourself on top of Reiner.

"I'm so sorry, please forgive me. I never will allow this to happen again." You pouted, holding onto the blonde haired man tightly.

"Captain, it's okay. I'm alright." He confirmed with a smile.

The room was barely lit, with only a lantern on the desk. It was around 10:00p.m. so it resulted in your and Reiners tiredness.

"Okay, I'll just be here until you fall asleep if that's alright." You smiled softly. The blonde haired man nodded before turning to his opposite side and quickly falling asleep.

After a bit of time you started to feel drowsy yourself. You kept catching your head as it dropped. The pencil and paper kept slipping as you became more and more sleep deprived. You were in the middle of writing the report you had to file. Than finally you gave up, falling asleep with ur face and arms on the desk.

The next morning you felt a light tap on your shoulder. You squinted a few times before seeing Bertolt looking down at you.

"Captain, um, you are supposed to be in a meeting right now." He said uneasily.

You immediately jumped up to your feet, grabbing the report and racing towards the room. Again and again, you continued to make mistakes.

You bursted into the room, your hands falling to your knees. Panting a few breathes, you than spoke, "I'm sorry for being late, please excuse me." You than stood straight and made it for an open chair.

The stares of the other captains feel on you, clearly giving you dirty looks. Commander Erwin then broke that feeling by him clearing his throat.

"Anyways, before the interruption. Take out your reports, and present it." Erwin said firmly.

"Why don't we start with the lady who was late, with the messy hair."Levi snickered, holding his papers in his hands.

"Fine option, Levi. Please respect your comrades though."Erwin nodded.

You rose to your feet and quickly ran your hand over your matted hair. (omg i'm sorry if you are bald.) All you could feel was embarrassment and unsatisfied stares.

Taking a deep breath you spoke, "as you know, yesterday, one of the men under my lead was injured. He had a deep wound on his upper thigh and a sprained ankle."you spoke shakily, clearly upset. "This was my fault as I failed to acknowledge the strengths and weaknesses of my teammates. One of my men announced a titan was ahead. I failed to kill this titan, and it went and grabbed the other one. I than killed this titan, letting him free. I secured his safety in a high branch as the other member followed behind us. I than gave up the sleeves of my uniform as you can see." You said, pointing to ur ripped sleeves. "I used them to tend to his wounds before giving that ownership to the other man. I switched my swords out, and after he was alright, we headed quickly back to the main group, clearing our side."

"Nice explanation to cover up the fact that your leadership skills were pour." Levi huffed.

You nodded and sat back down, patting your hair into place. Emotions flooded through your body, anger, sadness, embarrassment and humiliation.

The other people in the room reported. They all seemed to have everything go smoothly, only facing the casualty of dull swords by the end. After they finished, everyone was dismissed.

-fast forward 2 weeks-

Erwin had been very busy these last two weeks, so he didn't have time for your punishment.

The commander leaded you towards his room and sat down at his desk. You shut the door behind you and then stood in front of him. Your hands were behind your back with the folders in hand.

"Sir I-" Erwin cut you off before you could finish your sentence.

"You are being too hard on yourself." He said, shuffling the other folders. "Sit in here and finish your reports."

You nodded, confused on how he knew you didn't finish. Shrugging it off, you efficiently finished your paper and handed it to him.

"I still want to apologize. I won't let these mistakes happen again, I can promise you." You said, looking at his blue eyes.

"That is good to hear. Well, as a start of your punishment, can you grab me a book." He said, gesturing to the wide, large shelf.

You looked at all the books than asked, "which one sir?"

"The grey one on the middle shelf."

You failed to find this book and felt embarrassed. You turned only to find Erwin's arm reaching above your head. His eyes locked with yours as it slowly fell to your lips. He rubbed his bottom and top lip together, continuing to look. You could feel his warm breath against your neck as the two of you stood there. The blood rushed to your cheeks, making them appear pink. At that moment , Erwin grabbed the book and backed up at the noise of a knock.

"Come in." He shouted, revealing the shorter man, Levi.

"Oh commander, you asked me to think of a punishment right?" He smiled, stepping into the room. "N/n, you will be cleaning the whole stable starting now. Muck out all the stalls, but do not touch mine." He softly smiled, "carry on now."

Still feeling shock from the interaction between you and Erwin, it took you a few seconds before you saluted to the two men and left.

Did that really just happen? Maybe it was a coincidence or my mind is just making up things. You thought as you walked towards the barn.
