Grace
I wake up feeling incredibly happy, every part of my body felt totally relaxed. Everything about last night with him had been absolutely perfect. From dinner, to our gifts, to falling asleep next to him, it was just incredible.
He usually slept quite far away when we'd share a bed, of course that was long before we'd really laid our feelings out in the open. But I always wanted him closer, last night seemed like it was going along the same way too. What also killed me was that he would sleep in a full outfit next to me. Not shirtless or in a pair of boxers, totally covered.
I wanted our intimacy to progress a little more, the small amount we did felt very forced. He seemed pretty alright with it, but he often would flinch when we touched. It made me feel a little upset, it was like I made him uncomfortable.
We weren't together yet of course, so there was time to build the intimacy....but god I just wanted him so badly. I couldn't control the way my heart would leap out of my chest when we were near each other. I prayed he felt that way too.
Last night was set to go the exact same way, him climbing in on his side, saying good night and me wishing he wanted to sleep a bit closer as I'd fade off to sleep. But when I woke up from a bad dream that all changed.
I sat up in the dark room, running my hands over my face when I felt a hand rest on my lower back.
"Grace, is everything alright?" He whispered and I shrugged.
"I-I just had a bad dream, I'm sorry I woke you." I said quietly and he smiled groggily.
"C'mere." He mumbled and I didn't hesitate to take him up on his offer. I slid in right by his side feeling comforted by the strong arms around me. "I'll keep those bad dreams away, sleep." He whispered and I smiled, feeling more relaxed. He ran his hand over my arm a few times and I nodded back off to sleep.
I woke up with the two of us in a jumble in the middle of my bed. He was almost laying on my shoulder now, Nik struck me as the type of person who wanted to feel affection, even if it was a foreign concept for him.
I slowly ran my finger through his hair and kissed the top of his head. Knowing this was a rare opportunity for it, when he wouldn't flinch back or look at me like he was afraid of me touching him. He stirs under me slightly and I smile, removing my hands and knowing that he was waking up.
He rolls away a bit to stretch and then opens his eyes. "Good morning." He says quietly and I smile.
"Good morning." I repeat.
"Sleep well after you got back to sleep?" He asks and I nod.
"Very well." I whisper. That moment will live in the back of my mind forever, it was so sweet and completely cute that I'll never forget it.
"Do you want to do something today?" He asks and I nod with a smile. "Maybe we could go for a drive and get breakfast?"
"That sounds nice." I tell him. I sit up and pull my hair up into a ponytail to try and hide just how unruly it became overnight. "I guess I should get dressed then." I mumble and he chuckles. "Actually, do you think I could hit the washroom and clean up first?" I ask and he nods with an easy shrug.
"Sure, I'll get dressed." He says and I sigh, getting up from the bed. I go through my closet and pick out a pair of jeans, a shirt and a sweater, before grabbing my underwear and bra out of my dresser.
I get into the washroom and throw my dirty stuff into the hamper. Then I change my own clothes and start to go through my routine, washing my face, brushing my teeth, putting on some body lotion so my skin doesn't get dry from the winter air and I brush out my hair, separating the tangles.
