Tonight's the night I have dinner with Nik's mom. I was a little nervous, but no where near as nervous as he seemed to be. I agreed to come with him to his practice so we could immediately go to dinner afterwards.

From what I understood, his sister and dad had the rink afterwards to practice and he wanted us to have dinner while they were gone. I was really excited for the day that I'd really meet his whole family, I really wanted to meet Sasha. She was so important to Nik and I really wanted to get to know someone who was so special to him.

Since Friday night, I'd felt so much more confident with Nik. I'd finally cleared up all of my worries, I was stressed because I thought he'd be upset with me bringing it up. But surprisingly he was very kind about it, he listened, reassured me and spoke softly. I felt so happy afterwards because I finally understood how much he cared about me, and my insecurities had been put to rest.

I almost slipped up and told him I loved him. I couldn't do that yet, it was too soon. We'd only been together for roughly a month, that wasn't long enough. Even if it was how I felt, I'd never cared about anyone like I did Nik. He was so special, the perfect guy for me. I knew we seemed like a bad pair, but I could tell we were getting closer.

No matter what I'd always care about him, I'd slept with him because I trusted him. I told him all about my feelings and my secrets because I wanted to be honest. Something about him the first day I met him drew me in, we were done for the second we first saw each other.

Friday night Chelsea showed us to a guest room, I realized I hadn't brought anything to sleep in and he gave me his t-shirt to wear to bed. I fell asleep in his arms, feeling his hands move over my back and through my hair. The next morning was his game, so we got dressed and I watched him play.

The best part of that was getting to wear his jacket. There weren't that many seniors who had girlfriends that came to watch. It was just Madison and I for the most part and she was pretty alright to sit with. Nik says that a lot of people come to the first game, but after that the crowd dies out.

The worst was this group of what I assumed were freshmen or sophomores who came to support their 'boyfriends'. I use the word loosely as most of them were for appearances and weren't real. Just a bunch of girls that liked having the hot popular guys and a bunch of boys who liked having hot girls on their arm. They were awful because they'd laugh and make so much noise. It was just embarrassing to be honest.

But after it was over he took me for ice cream and we kept talking. The team had won again which I found particularly impressive.

Since all of that we'd been happy, people started digesting the fact that Nik had been dating someone for close to a month. I stoped feeling like I was on display at the zoo and Nik was settling into PDA and being more understanding.

Now he was like the most attentive boyfriend I'd ever had. But it wasn't suffocating or clingy, he had his own life and so did I. Now I stared at my house keys which had my spare key to the car and the key chain from Nik. Every time I saw it I got excited.

Their practice seems to wrap up and I get up from my seat, walking down to the boards. "Hi." I whisper and he pulls out his mouth guard, a long string of drool following it. I immediately pull back, no longer in the mood for a kiss.

"Sorry, that's pretty disgusting." He laughs. "I have to do a talk and some other stuff before I can head home, are you sure you're good to wait a bit?" He asks and I nod.

"Sure, whatever you need." I smile and he nods. "I'll be in the lobby when you're ready." He nods and blows me a kiss, skating off of the ice after the rest of his team.
