*Monroe's POV*

When I get home, I immediately facetime Maddy and Charlie, as promised and give them a play by play of the night's events. After, they both start yelling questions at me at the same time.

"Woah, slow down! One at a time."

Maddy starts with, "So, what are you going to do when you see him at school tomorrow? Is it supposed to be, like, a secret or what?"

I shrug and I say, "We'll do whatever feels right at the time."

Charlie asks, "Are you guys exclusive? How does that work?"

"We didn't discuss that. It's not really an issue from my end because there's no one else who's caught my eye here yet but I guess we'll just cross that bridge if it ever comes up."

After I finally answer all their questions, we call it a night and head to bed.

Thankfully, the sun has re-emerged today so I throw on some light wash jeans with rips down the front, and a loose white cropped tank top with leather ankle boots. Patting the dogs on the head, I grab my leather jacket and bag and head out the door.

Pulling up at school, I see Cade leaning up against his car which is parked right beside my usual spot. It has to be a sin to look that good in knock-off ray bans. His tattooed arms are crossed over his chest, his t-shirt pulling tight against his muscles. I cut the engine, pull off my helmet and unzip my jacket.

"So, when do I get to drive this one?" he says with a smirk.

"Oh, you're gonna have to earn that privilege mister," I say walking over to him. He opens his arms and I step in between his legs, placing my hands on his chest as his settle on my hips.

"Oh yeah? And how might I do that?"

"I'll let you know when I come up with something," I say with a wink. He bends down and places a gentle kiss on my lips before pulling away and saying, "So you sure you wanna do this with me? Once we walk into that school there's no taking it back. Everyone will start talking."

Okay, so he does plan on indirectly informing everyone that we're...something. And now he's offering me an out. But is it more for me or for him?

"I'm sure if you're sure," I say with a smile.

"I'm sure," he says confidently. He pushes us off the car and wraps an arm around my shoulder, leading us towards the school. I should feel nervous but I don't. We go over to the smoking area and meet up with Xander, Brett and Jason. When Xander notices us he throws his hands up in the air and says, "Finally!" and then hugs both of us. He pulls back and appraises us before saying, "Goddamn, you guys make an attractive couple. Seriously, it's actually kind of unfair."

"You're such a weirdo," I say to him. "You know, I have hot friends you could be in an attractive couple with," I joke.

"Pfft, thanks, but no thanks. I don't do that."

"Neither does Cade," I reply.

"She's got a point," Cade says with a chuckle.

"Alright, I'm changing my mind about you two being good together if you're gonna gang up on me like that."

"We all know that's a lie," I say with a smirk.

"Yeah, you're right, I still ship you," he admits in defeat.

Cade just laughs and pulls out a cigarette. He offers me a puff of his and I take it. Once we finished, he grabs my hand, lacing our fingers together and we walk inside. As we go through the atrium, conversation seems to stop and I can feel the eyes on us and hear the whispers. Do these people not have lives? Are we really the most interesting thing happening at this school?
