"Honey, are you sure you're okay?" Mom pressed on, her wide eyes peering over at me from behind her glasses. The real glasses, the ones she hardly ever wore unless her contacts were irritating her eyes.

"Mom, I'm fine!" I shot back, flopping back onto my bed and clutching my blue whale pillow pet to my chest. "I promise!" I mumbled into it's soft fur.

"Well you haven't hardly left your room for days, except to go work your horses, eat, and get your daily chores. I just wanted to make sure you were okay," Mom rambled, pushing herself up from the edge of the bed as she ran a hand through her obviously dyed hair. "Well if you're really okay, then I'll just see you at dinner tonight."

"Okay," I mumbled in my whale, hoping she would leave. I waited until I heard the click of the heavy wooden door, before I chucked my whale across the room, letting him hit the far wall with a dull thump.

And ever so ironically, he fell into my Liam poster that I had never had the courage to take down, even when he was living at the castle. It went fluttering to the ground and landed in a heap on the floor next to my forgotten pillow pet.

Jumping up from the bed, I stalked over and took the soft stuffed animal into my arms, hugging into my chest as I let out a short "Hmph!" that was directed mainly at the fallen poster, as silly as that sounds. I kicked the folded material as if to prove a further point, before stalking back over to my bed and plopping myself down on the edge of the matress in my haste.

"It's been weeks now," I hissed, turning my pillow pet around so it's plump face was looking back at me. "Why can't I get over this kid? I only knew him for a few months. He kissed me once. He was supposed to marry me. WHY!" It was as if I expected the stuffed animal to reply to me, and when it didn't I chucked it back down on the floor, covering my hands on my face and collapsing back onto my bed as I let gentle sobs over take my body.

"Maybe I should go ride," I mumbled, sniffling and trying to wipe away the quickly replacing tears. But you just jumped Jewel a few hours ago, and the other horses the trainers took out and released in the pasture. It'd take you hours just to catch one. It's not worth it.

"I don't even think music would help me right now." I blinked back my tears, swiping the side of my finger across my eyes a couple of times to collect the remaining moisture, before pushing myself to my feet and walking over to my dresser to grab my iPod out of the drawer. I brought my purple earbuds along with it, plugging them into the bottom and swiping on the tiny device in my hand.

Avoiding anything One Direction, I clicked on my Ed Sheeran playlist, letting the gentle soothing sound of his voice fill my ears as I plopped back onto my pillow, letting my eyes flutter shut.

And in moments, I was asleep.

"Should we wake her up?"

"Liam will kill us if we bring her out there angry!"

"But what if she tries to kill us!? I have no clue what she's like!"

"Why didn't you bring Liam with us, idiot?"

"Just wake her up, we don't have much time!"

Scrunching my eyebrows together, I slowly let my eyes flutter open. My playlist was long done so there was nothing but silence filtering throughout my earbuds. I found myself staring at someone's baggy jean covered legs. When I rolled over, I found another pair of jean covered legs, only these were skin tight, as if their legs couldn't breath.

Slightly freaked out, I let my eyes trail upward toward the faces of four guys standing above me, watching me intently. Four guys by the names of Zayn, Niall, Louis, and Harry. Four fifths of One Direction.
