I was lonely, to say the least.
It had been around a week since the boys and Danielle had came and taken Liam back, and every since, my life had been boring as hell, back to like it was before Liam came.
Breakfast, morning chores, lunch, afternoon chores, riding my horse, dinner, sleep. That was my daily pattern as of now. Although I did check my phone a hundred times a day, just in case Liam had texted me or something. I knew that wouldn't happen though. He was gone. Back to his real life, not the fantasy life he lived with me for a few months.
My family and the guards had no clue where Liam had went. I had told them I had no clue, that he had left in the middle of the night and wasn't there when I went to see him in his room. They were so gullible, they believed it, even my brothers.
Now, they were in the process of finding Liam. Iknew it wouldn't be hard, considering he was part of a world famous boyband, and the fans would have pictures of him somewhere in seconds. But secretly, I hoped they wouldn't find him again. If he didn't like me enough to stay the first time, then he certainly wouldn't want to be dragged back and forced on me again.
Sniffling, I ruffled into my walk in closet, pulling out my old and favorite pair of riding boots, slipping them onto my feet and grabbing my jacket. If anything could get my mind off this horrible time, a ride out in the woods would, or rather should, do the trick.
Snatching my phone and pushing it into my pocket, I stalked out of my room, letting the heavy wooden door slam shut behind my with a dull thud. The sharp heels of my boots clicked against the concrete as I turned down a couple hallways, finding a side door and stepping outside into the cool afternoon air.
I waved to the guard, opening my mouth to say a welcoming, but I quickly found out he was asleep, snoring softly behind the dark mask of his bulletproof helmet. Biting my lip, I quickly turned away, trying to get the thoughts that rushed back to me to go away as I stalked down the slanted concrete ramp that led to the barn.
Wrapping my fingers around the handle of one of the barn doors, I yanked it open, letting the warm air flood over me as I stepped quickly in and sealed the door safely shut behind me. A few nickers went up from around the barn, and a ghost of a smile immediately flooded across my lips.
I turned a corner, heading straight for my main and personal horses stall; aka the tall, blood bay mare, warmblood rescue by the name of Jewel. She nickered loudly at the sight of me, poking her head out over the netting that draped across her stall, preventing her from coming out.
"Hey pretty girl," I greeted, stepping up beside her. She turned her head slightly, her gentle brown eyes scanning me, before butting her head into my chest, rubbing it up and down.
"Thanks for the horsehair sweater," I giggled, taking a small step back and rubbing behind the soft hairs on her ears. "More work for mom I suppose. And more for her to yell at me about." She loud out a soft snort, reaching out and snuffling at the pockets of my jacket.
Giggling again, I stuck my hand deep down into the pocket, and fished around until I had the two carrot pieces that I had accidently left in this particular jacket secure in my hand. I then pulled it out, and thrusted it toward Jewel, holding my palm flat and grinning at the soft feeling of her mouth brushing against the palm of my hand.
"Alright, how do you feel about a little trail ride, yeah girl?" I smiled, pulling my hand away once she lapped up both vegetable pieces, rubbing my hand against my breeches.
Reaching over, I gently took her soft cloth halter and slipped it over her head, unclipping the net and bringing her outside to crosstie in the aisle. I dugged underneath them, heading for the large sized tack room that was around the size of my room inside the castle. I quickly collected her old English saddle, bridle and reins, and her new saddle pad.
