I don't exactly understand what the universe has in plan for me, but uh, clearly it involves meeting this guy again.

I had woken up a bit early to explore the place, and walk around a bit. It really was beautiful here.

The sun was still rising when I headed out, washing everything in an incredible orange glow. It reflected off the beads of dew on the plants, making them glint in a beautiful way.

I walked around, noticing how the town seemed to wake up with the rising sun. By the time the sun fully rose, I had reached a little cafe called Jupiter Cafe. I walked inside, and immediately fell in love. It had a peaceful atmosphere, and the fresh scent of coffee and snacks wafted around. I noticed how there was almost nobody but some guy in a black hoodie. He had his hood up and was staring out the window.

I waited at the counter, when a familiar voice said, "Look who it is." I turned around and noticed a familiar pair of sea-green eyes beneath the hood. I sat down opposite him.

"Hey." I greeted.

"Top of the morning to you, lassie." He said in a ridiculous Scottish accent, making me laugh.

"I didn't expect to meet someone I'd recognize here."

"Well, you should be glad you stumbled here, these guys have the best food in town. My friend Jason works here, and the general aura of peace brings me here." He said dramatically, just as a pen hit him on the head.

He glared at the culprit, a guy with startling blue eyes, and a cropped haircut, wearing a sky blue hoodie. He grinned.

"Just maintaining the peace", he said, raising his arms up in surrender, then turning around.

Percy rolled his eyes and threw the pen back, which hit the guy's back.

Said guy turned around, and the two engaged in a staring contest. I continued laughing as neither of them backed down.

"Best food in town, and quality entertainment. Maybe, I will start coming here more often." I said.

They didn't stop, until a timer went off inside. The boy and Percy both blinked, and then glared at each other. "This isn't over." The guy said mock threateningly, pointing a menacing finger then trudging off to the back.

Percy rolled his eyes and turned to me. "Like he'd ever win in an uninterrupted fight."

I stifled another laugh and grinned at him. "Now who would that be?"

"That would be Jason, pain in the ass supreme." That triggered some incomprehensible contradiction yelled from the back.

"Ignore him, he gets grumpy in the morning." Percy said, a little louder than usual. He smiled at me, as I gave him an amused glance.

Jason emerged with a cup and a plate with a muffin and placed it before Percy, proceeding to smack his head. He then noticed me.

"Hey, good morning. My name's Jason Grace." He said, sticking out a hand for me to shake.  I noticed he had a little scar on the side of his lip, it twitched whenever he spoke.

I shook his hand. "Annabeth Chase. I recently moved here from San Francisco."

He nodded. "And how do you know Percy?"

"I moved opposite to him yesterday, we met then."

Jason looked down, raising an eyebrow at Percy, who shrugged and went back to his muffin.

"This little bitch here didn't feel the need to mention anything." Percy shot him a small glare.

Jason shook his head. "What can I get you?"
