Companions react to someone insulting sole and making then feel bad

Cait:

"Bastards! That's it, I'll deal with them."

•Don't think she's coming back until she has knocked their teeth out.

Curie:

"Please don't feel like this..you..you are nothing like what those rude people say! I love you very much, so please don't let them hurt you like this.."

•She is bewildered but will try her best to comfort you.

Danse:

"That is completely absurd..you're nothing short of wonderful. They don't deserve to make you feel any less, now come here.."

•Danse's heart would probably break as soon as he realizes what's eating you up. It may be sort of unlike him, but he'll turn to the simplest form of comfort- holding you.

Deacon:

"Hold on.."

•Deacon will find that person and make their life hell for as long as it takes. Maybe it's something stupid like moving their things, or maybe even inciting mongrels to attack- there's no telling. One thing is for sure and it's that they won't get away with that.

Gage:

"Mmh, don't worry sweetheart..I'll make sure they can't say those things ever again.."

•Gage will come back with a tongue as a trophy. Bonus! He'll probably screw you silly afterwards and erase any negative thoughts that seeped into you mind.

Hancock:

"Don't let them dim your glow, my sunshine. People are assholes sometimes, you shouldn't listen to them. You're my beautiful (y/n)..nothing is going to change how precious you are."

•He may talk sweet, but as soon as he finds out who made you so upset..he's going for blood.

Macready:

"Oh yeah? Who said that to you? I'd like to go give them a piece of my dang mind."

•Oh no. Have you ever seen Mac when he gets the go ahead to insult someone? It's like a child in a candy store- a grown man slurring strangely kid friendly yet still hurtful names.

Maxson:

"Whoever was so foolish to speak to you that way was a small, pitiful person. They are beneath you."

•Arthur is pretty damn mad about it, but with the whole reputation thing he has to keep up..he can't exactly go deck someone. He's more mad that he couldn't protect you than anything else..

Nick:

"People can be really mean, huh? Well, you should know better than anyone else..people are stupid."

•Supposedly non aggressive but I would like to remind you that Nick is blatantly tied to literal gangsters. Someone hurts his doll, he may just sick some trigger men on them and look the other way. Don't worry, he won't kill anyone though.

Old Longfellow:

"Hmph, they ain't got no brains..Fog must've ate it all away."

•You're lucky if he doesn't go blackout drunk and suplex the perpetrators off the docks.

Piper:

"What an ass, *sigh*, come see..you're beautiful..don't forget that."

•Although she is pissed, royally so, she'll settle for taking you into her arms and doing her best to soothe the verbal wounds.

Preston:

"Don't you dare even entertain what they said. Babe, you are one of the best things in my life- if that person made you fell less than amazing..well, they're wrong."

•Preston is another of the none aggressive ones. However, if he sees the person..they'll regret being so cruel to you. He won't hurt them, but he's capable of looks that sting far worse than physical injury.

Sturges:

"Aw sugar..don't listen to them, you're perfect to me."

•Sturges won't outright go kick some ass but he'll give you the best thing he can, him. He'll wrap you in those big ol' arms of his and kiss you until you feel better.

"Don't worry, I will see to their elimination immediately. Rest, I'll be back soon."
