How infatuated companions react to an unavaliable sole

Cait:

•For once, Cait's gut reaction isn't to become infuriated. Instead she's just..sad. However she isn't overly hopeful that you'd see anything in her anyways, but then again, that just makes it even worse.

•Sometimes she'll find herself watching you and whoever has your attention for the moment and feel this terrible jealousy- one for the fact that it isn't her that has your heart..and also because she isn't the one making you happy.

Curie:

•She's already so confused with what's happening that she doesn't even consider how negatively it might affect your relationship with each other if she just goes ahead and admits her feelings. Which she does, horribly enough.

•What she really can't understand is why it hurts so much when you politely tell her that you simply just can't return her feelings-

Danse:

•Surprise surprise- Danse doesn't handle the emotions smoothly.

•On one hand he's somewhat happy that you can't be "his", feeling unworthy of your affections and honestly quite terrified of what would happen if he let himself open up his heart...but on the other, he also realizes that it's too late for that. For him to know he's in love, you've already dug a special little place in his heart.

•However I would also like to point out that Danse can be an asshole when he feels like it sooooooo he may or may not be a dick to whoever you're involved with- if that's the case.

Deacon:

•On the outside? Dandy. On the inside? BAISNWHSOWKEN

•Deacon doesn't know what the hell to do with himself. Sure, he can pretend all day to not be bothered by whatever you're off doing..or rather WHO you're off doing- but truthfully it breaks his heart with each and every day that goes by and he realizes you won't ever return the affection he won't even show.

•It's an endless cycle of torment he's crafted for himself and yet he won't do anything to make it stop. While he would love to have you as much more, he can't risk losing you as a friend.

Gage:

•Pray your significant other doesn't meet him.

•Seriously though, Gage is a master schemer with very few morals. You think he's above shooting some random person to get what he wants? Please. Especially if he thinks he may just have a slight chance at wooing you.

•it's whenever he realizes he truly loves you and values your happiness that he starts having second thoughts on the whole operation "kill a bitch". That's when it hurts.

Hancock:

•Well, the only indicator you'll get that Hancock doesn't like you going out with someone else is that he'll be really suspicious of them.

•As far as hinting towards his crush on you being the reason why? There's no amount of jet in the world to make him off his game enough to admit something like that.

Macready:

•Mac is going to be the world's biggest asshole to whoever you're involved with- and you won't even know why. His infatuation with you won't clear at all, but newfound hatred for whoever you've with? Crystal.

•He'll openly mock, talk trash, and even just plainly be rude to your significant other- rolling his eyes if and when you decide to confront him.

•In the flip side...you may just notice Mac not being as touchy with you. Maybe even giving you a couple teeny gifts here and there..just maybe.

Maxson:

•Welp, it certainly doesn't make him feel good for fuck's sake.

•Arthur is pretty good about masking what he truly feels despite being a passionate man, but there is one thing he can't escape and it's himself.  It sounds so weird but sometimes he'll make these little plans in his head where he knows just what to do, what to say to make you like him the way he miraculously likes you.

•But then he realizes..it's not gonna ever happen. Hey, at least he has his fantasies to keep him company when he's lonely.

Piper:

•She can be..hm..petty. Aaand easy to read, so hopefully you don't mind her having a thing for you? Because that secret definitely isn't going to stay to herself.

•Piper can also be quite the jealous type too, so much so that she may just lose sight of what's "right". Don't worry, she won't pull a gage and try to murder the poor bloke that's with you but..she'll try her damndest to desperate the two of you in a way that you can't trace back to her.

•It's devious, but damn, you do crazy things for love, right?

Preston:

•Let's just start out by saying that Preston is nice to nearly any soul that graces his path- so him being really nice to you was just a normal thing, so there wasn't any real warning to let you know that he had a thing for you.

•As such, he could only suffer in silence when he realized there was no getting anywhere with progressing his relationship with you. He could only hope that you would find the happiness that he wanted to be able to give you. Besides- he wouldn't dare take it away from you just because he wanted so badly to be with you. Piper

X6-88:

•Okay, be warned- his profession has rendered him..creepy. He doesn't mean for it to be that way but whenever he realizes what his feelings are for you- well- actually that's the problem- he doesn't know what he's feeling. As such he takes to observing you from afar, trying to figure it out. It even comes to a point where he finds out what your favourite food is, where you like to hang out, favourite way to buff up your power armour-

•Anyways- without talking it out, I doubt X6 will understand his feelings stem from affection. This is good though, because if you were dating someone and he wanted you...well..he um..he isn't known to be merciful.
