Best to worst huggers

Preston, taking lead of the pack on this list. He's sweet, okay? When he hugs, I'm willing to bet it's like sunshine and rainbows...well if I'm to be more serious, it's probably because he smells like a campfire and is the type of person to put his arms over your shoulders.

Sturges- oh sweet lord, getting hugged by this man is heavenly (so long as the smell of sweat and oil doesn't bother you). Just be careful that he doesn't smother you with that chest of his...

Curie. She smells the best out of all the companions and is also genuine with her affection. Minus a couple points because she has to get used to the synth body and refrain from accidentally head butting you a couple times.

Piper. Master of brief hugs. Somehow knows the balance of too tight or too loose, too long or too short- very huggable.

Danse. It's very rare that he hugs (unless romanced) but when does it's wonderful. He straight up bear hugs and perfectly makes whomever is receiving the affection feel safe- only downside is that he is a little bite awkward with duration.

Hancock. Can get a little handsy if he knows you aren't too bothered by it and smells a lot like smoke constantly...but hey, his hugs are still fine af.

Gage. Okay..the only way you're receiving a hug is if he's romanced. Despite his claiming against it, Gage loves affection. His hugs are usually pretty tight, but he means well.

Maxson. You think Danse is bad with his trademark "0.0" face, what until you see Maxson responding to physical affection. Nonetheless, he basically melts into the touch. His coat is fluffy so hugging him is decent.

Macready- He's a little smelly, but hey, the rat man isn't total ass at hugging. Don't get me wrong, he'll probably bitch the entire time but his squeezing you back is proof enough that he enjoys the touch.

Nick...he's not this low on the last because he lacks enthusiasm..it's just that it physically hurts to hug him. The metal parts don't feel all that great, so beware.

Deacon. Look, he doesn't even really like physical contact like this. Hugs are something he has to break back into liking, otherwise he's just gonna squirm and be uncomfortable.

Cait. She's even worse than deacon....
