Danse christmas headcanons

Look, I know it's kind of obvious that Danse is my favourite but I don't care. 😏 I love him so much..btw, some of these could technically be modern/pre-war! Au but most of them are canonical. Oh, this is also implying that he is romanced)

Takes so much freaking pride in using his power armour to decorate in high places.

Speaking of which, he is more than happy to let Shaun hang tinsel and lights on his power armour. It's alright if he puts a couple scratches in it too, just means Danse will be able to show the boy how to buff them out later on.

Pretends that he doesn't, but absolutely adores cheesy Christmas movies. Like we're talking "Hallmark" level cheesiness.

Will stress himself out trying to find the perfect gift for his lovely sole, but will eventually just make something heartfelt and pray that they will like it.

BIG sweet tooth for anything holiday flavored and cakey. If you happen to know how to make eggnog flavored cake? He's in heaven.

Is the one to read "The Night Before Christmas" for the local settlement children....can even be persuaded to dress up like Santa Claus himself, if sole asks nicely. None of the kids believe it though, I mean..come on, Santa isn't buff and he doesn't have black eyebrows.

Sucks terribly at it, but tries to learn how to make cookies just so he can make them with Shaun and maybe some of his own babies one day. (Those cookies will be reminiscent of hockey pucks)

If he so happens to be in good graces with the Brotherhood, he'll try his best to scrounge up little gifts from the wasteland to give the squires.

Drinking hot cocoa by the fireside, his big arms around sole and holding them close..that quickly becomes his heaven. Especially if he has his own little ones ready to intrude in on the moment.

Christmas time is one of the few times that Danse will ease up on his training regiments- especially if it's post-BB. This usually means that he ends up getting an adorable layer of fat on his tummy, that sole is more than happy to squish. He'll grumpily scowl and shoo them away when they do it.

Surprisingly enough, actually loves to play in the snow.

Has one specific sweater that he will wear during the holidays. Just the one.

Christmas time wasn't always the best for him- especially when he was little. As such, he'll do anything to make it special for his family. Be it just him and sole. Maybe Sole, Shaun and himself...or maybe Sole, him, Shaun, and a couple more kiddos.
