For those finding comfort in the night

Yet draws their strength from the sun.

May you continue to find strength from the things and persons of daylight

That the moon may shine

at the darkest of night.

The Moon always reigns over the night.

From its dark skies,

To its lurking demons.

For those longing for rest

Or for those seeking what the light cannot provide.

The creatures of the night revere the grandiosity of the moon.

Yet the one revered is not but a mere fraction of the source...

For the moon is naught but a reflection,

A glimpse of a greater power

Of which the moon runs away from

Until such a time

That the queen of the night

Faces the might of the lord of the world.

But until then, I shall run away...

Far enough not to be influenced

Yet near enough to bask in its power.

I was a no one.

Trying to live a normal high school life. Away from socializing needlessly with my peers. Life is not something to look forward to for an average lonely teenager. No family to go home to. No friends to go out with. No romantic partner to spoil and be with. Life is nothing but waiting for death.

Which I, and probably those around me

Have already accepted in the course of time...

Everyone—

Except for this annoying gal in my class who thinks she can freely barge in everyone's life as she pleased.

Not to get me wrong. This is not something to be grateful for in any way. I have so long abandoned hope for everything except the end. Despite the absences of what a normal person would want to have, I don't anymore desire for such. This world is nothing but a fluke. Born without much of a choice and living as decided by others until we die.

I want a silent life:

Alone

With no one else

Until I slowly fade into nothing

Like how the wind simply passes through the normal day. But I guess even the wind gets noticed from time to time.

I guess with Kallen bugging me every single instance possible, my life won't go the way I desired it to.

Kallen: The number one thorn to the silent kind of life I recently desired.

Every time I longed for silence, she's the first one to break it. Heck, her voice itself pierces the music playing in my earphones.

Personal space was never in her dictionary.

Not that I can do anything about it though.

I have embraced the very idea that she is a complete airhead, mindless jumping from one person to another and from one topic to the next with no hopes of changing her ways anytime soon. Any effort to talk her out of it would be futile. It's a complete waste of energy.

So, naturally, I am your "drag-along" friend that is often coerced in being attached to wherever she decides to pull me into.

For better or for worse, this is my life now.
