"Riz told me you have things to settle. You sure did take your time." Clyde scoffed as I approach him at what would be the skate area of the park, a few walks away from where Riz was.
"Just shut it and get to the point." It was probably the first I've seen him from ages. The uncomfortable boiling blood inside me from thinking of this guy now burns hotter now that we are here and facing each other.
"I'm afraid she didn't want me to end things as simple as that..."
He slid a handgun across that stopped exactly by my feet.
"Don't worry, rubber bullets." He explained. "Low chance of killing you but packs quite a punch."
I shook my head as I pick it up. "Conflict is what would define our interactions until the end, huh."
He laughed. "Aye. The sun may be supporting many moons but, in this planet, only one may stand."
"Stop talking as if we'd kill each other, you just sound cringe. If that were the case you would've used real bullets."
His face wrinkled as I probably ticked him off. "Fair enough."
"So, what are we supposed to do?"
"Brawl" he replied. "Until someone concedes. No rules."
No reloads for me. Maybe around eight shots. I don't know for Clyde. Maybe he has more mags as he simply started firing against me, hitting my leg once before I limped to cover behind a ramp.
It hurts so hard. Harder than bb bullets from airsoft. Put one in point blank range and shoot, triple the pain and that might explain how painful this is. Not even the adrenaline is enough to offset its magnitude. Maybe numbness will but I can't afford to reach that point and just pass-out or even die without getting any further. That would just be pathetic. Just as pathetic as hiding behind the range of guns.
There's only one way men should fight at this moment.
I ran on what would be a lame attempt for someone limping and simply fired whatever I could, throwing it all and hoping at least a single one would hit him.
Clyde cowered behind a short ramp trying to avoid all the rubber raining. I guess I don't have plot armor or anything knowing that I'm in a pinch and yet none of my bullets are hitting their mark. I managed to close our distance though, which is already a big thing, and kicked his weapon away.
He tried to reach for it but I kicked him in the gut before pinning him down with a knee on his chest. He was able to squeeze away, pushing himself sideways before landing a sucker punch down my gut.
Now I get what Chris meant. This guy probably had been trained by his father. Hard. That wasn't his hardest punched yet knowing that he never really got a good momentum and just threw one in an awkward position but it still stings so hard that it almost felt like the pain from the rubber bullets. Maybe even more painful. I can't say for sure when my head isn't functioning well anymore. Pain is pain, that's all that's registering within me at the moment.
Now I'm the one pinned as Clyde got on top of me, squeezing me between his knees. I guarded my head as he rained punches, attempting to either pray that one lands a decisive direct hit or just drain the energy away from him. Either way, both are working fine for him.
I threw a desperate move and grabbed his arm and used it as a make shift shield by shaking it towards his punches. He struggled punching only with his other arm so he is desperately yanking his hand, pulling it hard in contest. The stroke of luck I've been waiting for. I pulled harder so that he would naturally respond with more force. I then released my grasp and he staggered back from all the tension. Some handy physics thing I managed to instinctively remember from long ago. I broke away and lunged on him and just throwing one punch after another.
