"Why are we here?" Jungkook asked, referring to the room in which the headmen, injae and other important people along with bts stood in at midnight. He folded his arms as it was quite cold. Winter was setting in
"I don't know, maybe something," Yoongi responded, trying blink out the sleepiness.
"Great answer, grand-," Jungkook immediately turned his head to Hae-sik as he started to speak.
"We have stumbled upon some bad news that could change the course of the war. Chanmin has consumed the elixir, the blood of evil. One of our informants had witnessed it and was killed by his hand, but not before the message was sent," Hae-sik told in a grave voice.
"This means doesn't mean that we have to change our plan, we just have to train harder. So, from tomorrow onwards, I expect every able bodied man on the bloody field by 5am till your trainers let you go. Meeting concluded," Then Hae-sik left the room. Jungkook made his way to the white-faced In-jae who had an undecipherable look on her face.
"What elixir? Why is it so important?" Jungkook asked, slightly shivering. In-jae pulled him out of the room, to the vacant balcony towards its side.
"This elixir is the second son of the moon goddess, evil- Well, his name wasn't evil but because of his powers and personality he is called that. He destroyed countless villages and wiped out more than half the population with just the snap of his finger. The bloodlines, your ancesters tried their best to kill him but nothing ever worked, it didn't even wound him. Finally after praying to the moon goddess for decades for decades put together, she bestowed a gift upon them. A stone. They shaped that stone into a small hand knife and with that they killed him after a series of wars called the war of Gold. After killing him, the bloodlines soon learnt that the one that drinks even a drop of his blood, attains dark magic. The magnitude solely depends on how much he/she had drunk. So the put every single drop of blood into a bottle and hid it.
After centuries, it has appeared in chanmin's hand. And since he drank the entire bottle, he is close to unbeatable. But to our luck, no bloodline has ever had your powers since Han-bin, and that was centuries ago. And also we have the knife in our safe keep. The only thing is that," In-jae stopped to let a tear to slip from her monochromatic eyes.
"Is that?" Jungkook asked a bit impatiently. He was drowning in fear. Atleast before he had a bit of confidence that he will not fail the people that believed in him and put their life on the line for him. But now, he was not sure as he would be fighting a devil in a man's body. Jungkook had barely mastered his own powers and he would have to fight a man that is close to the devil and has had years of training.
He was scared that he might fail everyone and disappoint them. He was scared that innocent people's blood might be on his hands soon. He was scared of the way Jin, Namjoon, Taehyung, Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok might look at him when he fails. Not that they had showed any loving faces to him, but it mattered to him these days for some reason.
"Is that-," In-Jae started.

Namjoon sat on the bed with his legs dangling and swaying with the breeze that entered through the small window. He was waiting for Jungkook while looking at the two pictures in his hands. One was of his mother and him when he was a five year old and the other was of his friend and him. To be honest, he still wasn't over his death. Some nights when he sleeps alone, he sees his friend's blood shot eyes and whip marks covering his thin frame.
Namjoon quickly hid the pictures in the drawer as the door opened. Jungkook quietly came inside before plopping down on his bed. It looked like as if he had cried.
