Yutsuki Pov
'Did he just-'
I held my cheek stinging in pain as the last string of my patience snapped. Wasting no time to slap him back with all of my bloodlust fueling my palm.
Many of the servants gasped, fearing for their masters' lives and theirs if ever a real fight broke out in the middle of the hallway. None of them sided with either the young master or the young lady, they just watch or flee.
I passed by him, heavy footsteps paced around the uselessly long corridors just to find a room to calm myself in. I randomly opened one room and slammed the door shut and locked behind me, scaring a maid I didn't realize was following me.
The only thing I had with me before I was brought here is my phone, not even my wallet nor my skateboard was with me.
'But this should suffice for my escape plan.' I held my phone up and scanned the room, recognizing my surroundings in an instant.
"Of all freaking rooms.."
Most of the areas in this mansion held atleast one significant memory in my head, I did live here for 5 years after all, and it wasn't as awful as it is for me currently.
Whether it may be a wholesome memory turned into an unpleasant one, or just filled with plain bad ones, my brain would still take a trip to memory lane.
The grand piano still sat at the center of the room, and all the other instruments surrounding it. Everything was kept clean but it was obvious that it hasn't been used for quite some time now.
"Yutsuki! Tadashi and I have a surprise for you!" He pulled on both my wrists and led the way to the piano room, his contagious bright expression getting the best of me.
We entered the room and there I saw Tadashi already sitting in front of the piano, Ainosuke joining him a moment later.
They looked at me one last time and started playing, their piano duet perfectly complementing each other. They started singing faintly, making me laugh at how off tune their voices were.
It was a song I've never heard of before, a song they wrote especially for me.
Finishing off their short performance, they beamed a smile of satisfaction at me. At that moment I already knew that I would never forget this scene.
"Happy 14th birthday Yutsuki!"
Tears dripped down from my eyes straight to the floor as I stood at the same spot where I watched them that day.
I angrily wiped away the tears, cursing my tear glands for not stopping and myself for being emotional. "Fucking hell.. this is why I hate going back here."
🌙
"Lady Yutsuki, it's time for supper." My head shot up from the knocks at the door. I looked at the sky from the glass doors leading to the balcony, the sun was already almost done setting, making orange and red hues color the room.
"It's already this late?" I muttered, not even aware that I fell asleep with my head resting on the cover of the piano.
The door opened and one of the maids poked her head in, then continued to go inside the room after seeing me. "Your food may be served inside your room if you prefer." She said and bowed politely.
'Room?'
"Lady Yutsuki's room is still being cleaned on a weekly basis, everything is just as you left it." She added, as if reading my mind.
