Yutsuki Pov

I went back to the main area where the screen is at, easily spotting where Joe is. "How's it going?" I asked him, panting heavily from rushing.

"Where have you been?" He questioned back, looking at my tired state.

"Reki.."

"Did you find him?"

My body flinched in response, whatever happened back there drifted off my mind for a moment, but now I can finally process it.

I ran to the back gate, my phone against my ear just in case Reki picks up after how many calls. "Dammit, come on, Reki.."

After arriving there, I still saw no sign of the red head, making me bite my lips in distress. "Excuse me?"

I approached one of the guards who were standing near the gate, "Uh- by any chance, did a red head, or a guy in a hoodie exited from here?" I gestured what Reki looked like using my hands.

He thought for a moment before nodding his head. "Yeah, he left this.." He took something out from his pocket and handed it to me.

"This.."

My eyes widened as I stared at the 'S' member pin that was lying on my palm. "Reki left this?"

I chuckled awkwardly, not believing what I'm seeing right now. Maybe they got the wrong person? Maybe another member quitted today? Maybe it wasn't Reki after all?

But a large part of me was telling me it was Reki.

"Reki... quitted huh."

My phone rang, and I swiftly picked it up, not caring to look at the caller ID. But the one who called me was the one I was waiting for.

"Yutsuki-nee..."

I stayed quiet, letting him have the chance to speak. The silence broke me, I didn't know what to say and neither did he. Most of all, I wasn't prepared for this.

"I'm sorry."

Just one word from him was enough to make me stray into negativity.

He hung up after saying that, leaving me in confusion. Reki, who found happiness in skateboarding, quitting?

I slapped myself and asked the guard if I could keep the pin, to which he agreed on. My head was in shambles, kept in between positive and negative thoughts.

'Maybe he just wanted to practice by himself without getting caught up in 'S'.'

'But what if- he really lost his heart on skateboarding, and gave up, just like how-'

The memory of sitting back in the hospital room came back to me. The sadness I felt, seeing someone give up on something they used to love so much, because of injuries, sickness, or simply because...

They don't want to anymore.

"Yutsuki? Did you find where Reki is?" Joe waved a hand in front of me, gaining my attention.

"Ah.. no..."

He didn't look convinced with it and asked me a different question. "Something wrong?"

I looked up at him then at the screen, where Cherry and Adam's race is still ongoing.

"Reki.... I'll be waiting." I mumbled to myself, making Joe confused as to what I said. The two racers approached the abandoned building, where Adam sped up and started dancing.
