🌙 Chapter 19 🌙

Yutsuki Pov

'My sides feels like they're burning.'

"What? Feeling tired already?" He asked in a mocking tone, passing by me.

"Diablos no."

"Good, I wouldn't want you to get so boring."

We entered the abandoned building, signalling the final stretch of the race. I went towards the rusty bridge instead of staying on the ground, mainly to avoid that son of a bitch.

Being that the bridge itself had holes here and there, I hopped up at the railings, hearing the cheers get louder.

I jumped down after timing it, holding the side of my board with one hand and flipping myself around. I landed on the edge of the metal bar, immediately turning my board around to continue on.

'Faster-'

I panted heavily, accelerating my speed more by pushing my foot off the ground. When it's a battle on a straightway, I have the upper hand.

We passed the finish line, just in time when my legs gave out, making me trip and land on my ass. I tried to catch my breath, closing my eyes for a good minute.

"Adam lost?!"

"She's still Moon after all!"

"If anyone's gonna beat him, it's gotta be Moon!"

'Ahh shut up please.' I blocked my ears out from the loud cheers, focusing on somewhere else to ignore the hammering of my heart that's loud as fuck.

"Well that was a successful test," My wrist was suddenly yanked up, standing me up like a damned ragdoll despite having my legs feel like jelly. "Don't you think so, Eden?"

I glared up at him, attempting to snatch my wrist back before my entire arm starts to numb. "It's 'Moon', asshole. Let me go." I demanded, not wanting to keep this up any longer.

"Just as I thought-"

He harshly swiped his thumb near my lips, looking at whatever he wiped off from there for a moment before showing it to me.

"You haven't skated this strenuously in a while precisely because,"

It was blood. My blood to be exact.

I tasted the metallic flavor on my tongue, furrowing my brows in disgust of my own blood.

"-you're ill." He said in a taunting manner, as if vomiting blood was something so amusing when it's happening to another person.

He positioned his head near my ear, causing shivers to run down my spine. "That would make it a lot easier to get rid of you then."

This hoe finally let go of my wrist and began walking away, but not before threatening me like he usually does.

"I will take out that obstacle first, and once I have my Eve, then, I will destroy you."

A few minutes have passed, the used to be clear sky was now covered in clouds. I stayed at the finish area after Miya called me to say that they're going here instead and making me talk to Reki.

'He wouldn't be so confident if he didn't have anything up his sleeve, which means-'

I turned my head to see Miya, Joe, Cherry and Langa walking in my direction with the youngest one in the pack jogging to me.
