(Deva and Tammy enter the scene holding hands walking around the park all dressed up.)
Deva: I can't believe that happened. That's pretty crazy.
Tammy: I know right. She can be annoying sometimes but that was the last straw.
Deva: I can imagine. But let's move on before the mood here becomes negative.
Tammy: True.
Deva: So what's your favourite instrument?
Tammy: I like playing a lot of instruments.
Deva: Pick one then.
Tammy: Mmmmm........... I would have to say clarinet.
Deva: Why clarinet?
Tammy: I don't know. I like the sound it gives out. It feels just right.
Deva: So you like blowing on clarinets huh?
Tammy (both laugh) You're terrible!
Deva: I really am!
Tammy: I should've picked another instrument!
Deva: Yeah, you should've picked something more, classy, like the flute, trumpet, trombone.
Tammy: Trumpet is my second favourite instrument.
Deva: You're still blowing on it anyways, there's no difference.
Tammy: Fuck you! (giggles) Okay, how about the drums?
Deva: Oh, so you love to bang too? (They laugh so hard together) Stop setting me up here!
Tammy: Oh god, you're so funny. Ryan doesn't make outrageous jokes like you do.
Deva: You know throughout this date you bought him up a considerable amount of times.
Tammy: He and I were pretty close before I met you. I can't help it.
Deva: I think you need to forget him though.
Tammy: What could replace that memory?
Deva: I know what could replace it.
Tammy: (looks at him) What is it?
(Deva slowly closes in, cups her cheek, and goes in for the kiss. However, Tammy hesitantly turned it so Deva ends up kissing her cheek and she looks down. He looks confused)
Deva: Huh? I wasn't expecting that. Is everything okay?
Tammy: I don't know how I should say this. (She turns in Deva's direction) I like hanging out with you. You're a smart, sweet, and a very funny guy. But I don't think you can give me what I'm looking for. I need some time to figure things out. But we can still be friends.
(Deva takes a few seconds, nods in agreement, and has something to say)
Deva: It's fine if you think of me as a friend. When I went out with you, I went out thinking it was a date. And throughout this date, you've been talking about Ryan. I can't understand what you're going through, but I do find you attractive, and I want this to be something more than just friendship. And I thought you liked me since you agreed to go on a date with me. If you decide you still do, you have my number. Shoot me a text sometime in the future.
(Deva walks away from the scene)
