(Deva and Wendy are sitting at the mall table together.)
Wendy: I see. I'm sorry it didn't go so well with Tatianna.
Deva: Nah, it's cool. She said she was honouring a favour you did for her.
Wendy: Yeah. I didn't think it would go that well though.
Deva: Yeah. We just got down to talking and yea I guess things went natural for us.
Wendy: So it could've happened then. You two could've become an item.
Deva: Sure, everything else went well between us. But one problem, she never liked me back and I didn't read the situation properly.
Wendy: I don't think I'd blame you. She called you cute after having a great time. Of course, you'd think to ask her out. But speaking as a girl myself, we're kinda weird like that.
Deva: You say that as if it's normal.
Wendy: Well, it's true.
Deva: (smiles) Well, at least now you know I'm back on the market. Better make a move before I'm taken.
Wendy: (giggles) Maybe, kid. I'll think about it. (A silence occurs between the both of them.) By the way, I was wondering.
Deva: What's up?
Wendy: I wonder how Milo did it.
Deva: Did what?
Wendy: Editing your project to include a twist of his own.
Deva: My project?
Wendy: Yeah. The one where he presented it to the class. We were all making fun of him after that happened, and he tried telling us that it was yours. Hahaha! When I heard that, I believed that you built it, but not like how you want it to.
Deva: Yeah, that's my device. He stole it and tried to present it as his work.
Wendy: I knew Milo would do something a little different to the project, but I never thought Gary to put that indecent display from the projector like that. I know it's your device, but I don't believe you would do that to your own project, and I don't think Milo could've seen that coming as well.
Deva: What do you mean by that? And what does Gary have to do with this?
Wendy: You're so young and too sweet. You're too innocent to come up with something like that. Gary's always been jealous of you, so I think he did it.
Deva: Right, but Gary didn't do that. At least I don't think he knows how to handle my device.
Wendy: Maybe the jocks messed up one of your devices and made your project that way. I know just how immature they are so they probably made a mistake with your project and it came out like it did during the presentation. They probably thought it was funny and kept it at that.
Deva: That projector requires meticulous wiring of circuits with proper magnetic fields. Just one connection between two wires is enough to produce a single ample of light. Light particles need to be constantly manipulated and placed at the right positions to project the light, the ambients, the texture, and the colour particles. You need the right cases to go together with the right processing chips and processors, as well as installing the drives. And they all need to be properly put together to where it can work with no problems along with you coding the device to instruct exactly what you want it to do. So do you really think a couple of jocks messing with my invention will result in that? If they did mess with my shit, it would've blown up into a fire. We'd all be having a real fire drill by then.
