"Who's Cedric?"
Alicia, George, and Killian stared at her with blank expressions. They were completely silent.
"Did you just..." George trailed off.
Alicia and Killian stared at each other for a moment, unsure of whether this was actually happening.
"You guys are being weird," Millie groaned. "My head hurts. I don't have time for this...where's Fred? What time is it?"
"A little after 2:00 in the afternoon, but why are you asking for...oh shit," Killian made the realization. He turned to Alicia and George and spoke in a barely audible whisper. "Maybe she's been obliviated,"
"What?" Alicia panicked. "No way. Why would Paisley do that?"
"What are you guys on about?" Millie asked.
"Do you really not remember Cedric?" Alicia asked, tears seemingly brimming her eyes.
"I don't know...does he go here?" she continued, completely and utterly perplexed.
George was about to say something when a tall boy with light brown hair and entrancing silver eyes burst out of Madame Pomfrey's office and ran over to Millie's bed. He looked terrified as he stared at her. He's kinda cute, she thought to herself, but where's Fred?
"Oh my God, Millie," the boy sighed, hurrying over beside her bed. "How are you? Are you hurt?"
Millie suddenly got extremely uncomfortable. She had no idea who this boy was. She fell silent, looking around at her friends for an explanation.
"Mate, can I talk to you for a second?" George asked, grabbing the boy's shoulder. "Outside?"
"What? No! Let me talk to Millie first," he tried.
"Cedric," Alicia sobbed. "She's been obliviated...she doesn't remember you,"
His face dropped and he looked at Millie intently. He reached for her hand, but she pulled it back. Is this the Cedric they were talking about?
"No," he stood up, shaking his head. "No she hasn't, she...she must've hit her head, or- or she's tired. Why would you guys even say that?" he had tears falling down his cheeks as he looked around.
"Have I done something?" Millie asked. She was terrified and confused as to who 'Cedric' was and why he was crying over her. "Are you Cedric?"
"I...Millie, do you really not remember me?" he asked quietly, staring deep into her eyes.
She felt a deep pang of remorse. Who was Cedric? What was he crying about? And where the fuck was Fred?
"I'm sorry," she stated. "But no,"
Cedric's breath hitched and he looked like he was about to pass out. He shook his head and looked down at a gold ring he had on his finger before looking back at Millie for a moment. She wished she knew who this boy was because he seemed so torn up over her. He then clenched his jaw, walked away from her bed, and bust out the doors.
"Who was that?" Millie asked. "Can someone go get Fred please?"
"Millie, that was Cedric," Killian stated. "He's been your boyfriend for a while,"
"What?" she asked, astonished. "No he hasn't, don't be daft Killian. Why would I date someone else when I'm in love with Fred? And someone I don't even know at that,"
"You were obliviated," Alicia stated. "At least, I'm assuming. Paisley must've wanted you to forget Cedric for some reason,"
Millie's head was spinning. This couldn't be true, right? She could never be with someone else. There was only ever Fred. She did her best to think back over the past year. Everything seemed blurry. Maybe she had hit her head.
