"So Gryffindor tryouts are tomorrow?" Cedric asked as he walked Millie back to her common room Friday night after dinner.

"Yup," she stated. "I'm so excited to stand outside with Fred and Angelina for, like, four hours," she said sarcastically.

"It'll be alright," Cedric chuckled, pausing as they reached the painting. "We'll have breakfast then I'll walk you to the pitch tomorrow morning,"

"Okay," Millie smirked. "You're taking the role of fake boyfriend very seriously,"

"Well, the more we're together, the quicker this will be over," Cedric raised his eyebrows. "And I know that's what you want," Millie didn't know why Cedric saying that to her stung. She did want it to be over as soon as possible, didn't she? "I'll be here at 8:00 tomorrow. Don't be late, Barrett," he said, saluting her sarcastically as he began leaving.

"You got it, Diggory," she saluted him back before he turned away from her and trotted down the stairs.

She stepped into the common room, unaware of the contagious smile that crossed her lips. Alicia and Lee sat on one of the couches doing their homework, so Millie went and sat across from them, picking up the copy of The Quibbler that lay on the coffee table.

"Oh yeah, just walk in and look at a magazine," Lee started sarcastically. "Don't explain to us why you've been avoiding everyone and are all of a sudden dating Pretty Boy Diggory. It's not like any of us are curious or worried or so interested that they want to rip their own guts out,"

"Lee," Alicia playfully punched his arm. "But seriously, Millie. What's with you and Diggory? I've barely seen you around school for the past week and every time I do, you're with him,"

"it's nothing, really," Millie shrugged. "He's just kind of been there for me since Fred and I broke up, and now we're..." she didn't know whether to tell her best friends, or lie. She couldn't risk Fred or even George finding out it was fake, so she quickly made her decision. "...dating,"

"Bloody hell, Millie," Alicia started with a wide smile. "You pulled the hottest kid in school!"

The hottest kid in school? Millie thought, Is he really that attractive? She had never taken the time out to really look at him to try and see what everyone else sees. Sure, there were times when she would find herself getting lost in his eyes, or staring at his lips, or watching the way his sharp jaw clenched when he got aggravated in Transfiguration, or when he- oh wow. He really is the hottest kid in school.

"Ouch, Alicia," Lee scoffed, an offended look across his face. "What about me?"

"Besides you, Lee," she stated, blinking her eyelashes at him.

"You guys are ridiculous," Millie laughed.

All of a sudden there was a small commotion as Fred and Angelina entered the common room, laughing and holding hands with wide smiles across their faces. Fred quickly met Millie's blue eyes, his face dropping into a mixture of guilt and anger. Millie responded with a similar look, but the guilt wasn't present. She was full of pure anger. Angelina was visibly uncomfortable at the tension between her boyfriend and the blonde sitting on the couch. She let out a small cough before talking again.

"Millie, hey!" she started. "I feel like I haven't seen you in days, which is weird since we share a dorm,"

"Yeah," Millie answered, not breaking eye contact with Fred. "Weird,"

"Millie, we should go upstairs," Alicia tried, standing up and gathering her things, her eyes panic struck as she watched the scene in front of her play out. She knew things would get ugly if Millie wasn't removed from the situation.
