For the rest of the day, Millie's mind was completely empty aside from two things: Fred and Cedric's proposal. The more she thought about it, the more she thought it was a smart idea, but she wasn't mad enough at Fred to do something like that. She knew she should be, but she couldn't. She knew if he saw her with Cedric his feelings would be hurt, and she didn't want that. Millie loved him too much to purposely inflict pain on him, even if he did so to her.
"Are you ever gonna sit with us again?" Alicia asked Millie while they got ready for bed that night. "If you want I can come sit with you during lunch and stuff...I just knew you wanted to be alone today,"
"It's okay, Alicia," Millie smiled. "You can sit with them, I really don't mind,"
"Are you sure?" she asked. Millie responded with a nod. "How are you doing, like...in general?"
"I don't know," she sighed, laying back onto her pillow. "I wanna be mad at him, but I can't help but think something else is going on. You know Fred, he would never do that,"
"Yeah, I was really surprised when Angelina told me he was going to break up with you last night," Alicia stated as she sat down on her bed.
"Wait...Angelina knew?" Millie asked.
"Well, when I saw you and Fred leave the common room, I heard her whisper 'finally'," Alicia stated with a frown. "I was confused, so I asked her what she meant and she told me he said he was going to break up with you,"
"Why would he tell Angelina?" Millie muttered, fearing she might know the answer.
As if on queue, Angelina stepped into the room, a wide smile across her face.
"Hey Angie," Alicia smiled. "Where were you?"
"Oh just with fr- a friend," she stuttered.
"What kind of friend?" Millie asked, her tone dead serious as she stared Angelina down. "You look all hot and bothered,"
Millie saw her face go from elated to terrified. What are you hiding, Angelina? she thought to herself.
"A good one," she stated, her voice shaking slightly as she quickly gathered her things to prepare for bed and headed to the bathroom.
"I wanna know who that mystery boy of hers is so bad," Alicia stated mindlessly.
"I might have an idea," Millie mumbled to herself before turning her light off and getting under the covers. She didn't want Alicia to see her crying. This time, it wasn't out of sadness. It was more a mix of confusion, rage, and jealousy. Don't go skipping to any conclusions, she thought. Even though she was practically certain of it at this point, she didn't want to admit Angelina and Fred were seeing each other.

The next couple weeks were a blur. Millie's heart was hurting a little less every day, but she was still in an immense amount of pain from her breakup. She just tried to avoid Fred and Angelina, and it was working for the most part. This weekend was the Gryffindor Quidditch tryouts, and Millie knew her brother was getting increasingly nervous. He got hives whenever he got stressed out, and when Millie passed him in the hall, she saw that he was practically covered in red blotches.
"Killian," Millie called after him. "Holy shit,"
She motioned to the red blotches across his neck and arms.
"It's fine, mills," he scoffed, trying to walk away from her. She grabbed his arm, attempting to keep him there and he winced.
"No it's not," she stated. "Go to Madame Pomfrey, they'll literally be gone in like three sec-"
