The next morning, Millie woke up alone in Cedric's dorm. She looked at the clock- 9:21 am. She'd unfortunately slept through most of breakfast, which wasn't good considering she had a pounding headache and pains all over. She sat up, a small wave of nausea coming over her as she went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and take a quick shower. When she walked back in the room some 10 minutes later, she was met with Cedric and a plate of toast, strawberries, and a large glass of water.
"Hey, Ced," she said groggily, sitting down next to him.
"Sorry I wasn't here when you woke up," he said. "I went to get you breakfast,"
"Thank you," she smiled, digging into the toast.
"Hey, erm...do you remember what you said to me last night?" Cedric suddenly asked.
"When?" she questioned. "Everything after we left the Three Broomsticks is pretty fuzzy,"
Cedric's looked slightly uncomfortable as he shifted further onto the bed.
"Well, when we were in the tunnel," he started. "You...erm, you told me you loved me," Millie suddenly stopped chewing, her eyes wide as she looked up at Cedric. She began racking her brain trying to remember saying such a thing. "Look, if it was just drunk talk and you didn't mean it, that's fine, but you should know that...I love you,"
Of course she loved him. She'd loved him since their first kiss; she just didn't know how to say it, and of course the first time she does she doesn't even remember it.
"Ced, of course I love you," she sighed.
"Then why do you look so sad?" he asked in something quieter then a whisper.
"I just..." she sniffled, moving the plate to his bed side table and sitting right next to him, but avoiding his gaze. "I've been trying to tell you that for so long, and now I have but I don't even remember it,"
"Hey," he smiled, cupping her face to turn it towards him. "It's okay. You show me you love me every day. It doesn't matter how you say it,"
She blushed red and hugged him, tucking her head into the crook of his neck. He hugged her back, kissing the top of her head and leaning back so they were laying down again. Their faces were aligned as she leaned in to kiss him quickly, pulling back to meet his eyes, longingly getting lost in them.
"I love you," she whispered.
"I love you," he responded.
The pair closed their eyes and fell back asleep, hungover and tired and completely in love.

"Excuse me, Professor?" Cedric appeared at the door of the greenhouse Millie's Herbology class was being held in.
It was now mid-April and Millie and Cedric had been perfectly happy for months, constantly spending time with each other, their only worry being their school work. Millie hadn't thought about Fred romantically since New Years, and from what she could see he was happy with Victoria. She did find him staring at her every now and then, and she'd noticed the bags under his eyes growing in pigmentation, but she didn't know what else he was going through. George had been talking to her less, but she assumed that was just because she hadn't been spending much time with her old friend group. Her and Cedric were attached at the hip, and she couldn't be happier about it.
The one problem was she constantly felt guilty about kissing Fred on New Years Eve. She had been with Cedric, and he'd been nothing short of perfect the whole year. How could she kiss someone else when she was with the nicest, most caring, most genuine person she knew; she doubted their relationship so often in the beginning, she couldn't help but feel guilty. She constantly did everything she could to make up for it, and while Cedric would tell her it was fine and he was over it, there was something about the way he spoke about that subject that made her feel like everything wasn't okay.
