My heart races as I walk, dresed only in Perri's long sleeved DV t-shirt with his signature at the back and my pink and black underwear. I don't even know where I'm going.

I want to see Mitch but he probably doesn't want to see me. I stumble upon his bedroom door wondering if I should open it. Kim's probably in there as well...

Suddenly, the door opens and I jump back, startled. I see Mitch there, shirtless and with just jeans on. Funny enough, he doesn't look surprised to see me.

"Why are you awake?" I whisper, as he looks me up and down.

He scrapes some hair out of my face.

"Why are you awake?" He smiles.

"I asked you first. I couldn't sleep..." I sigh.

"You came to find me?" He asks.

I shiver suddenly, looking away from him.

"Yeah...." I sigh again.

"It's okay...." He whispers. "I couldn't sleep either."

"Is Kim awake?" I ask.

He shakes his head.

"Pel?" He asks.

"Probably.." I whisper.

Mitch sighs.

"Why did you get so angry?" I say, placing one hand on his shoulder.

"I don't know...." He says. "Okay? I don't know, Amber. Stop asking me questions. You were obviously getting very intimate, I mean you're half naked."

"He's my boyfriend." I say, biting my lip before folding my arms. "Aren't we allowed to-

Mitch shakes his head.

"Not in my house...." He says.

I suddenly feel like I'm going to faint. And cry.

"I'm sorry, okay?" I say.

"Why are you apologising?" Mitch asks, raising an eyebrow, before running a hand through his thick, dark, hair. "He's your boyfriend, isn't he?"

I nod, aimlessly.

"Yes...." I merely croak.

"Good. Then this conversation is over...." He says.

He pushes past me while I struggle to find words.

"Mitch, wait?" I beg.

"Why?" He shouts, all too loudly.

"Shh....." I say. "Wait here."

I walk towards their kitchen, passing Perri's door. There is no sound so he must be asleep. I grab a small, sharp knife from the drawer then carry it back to Mitch in the hallway.

"What the f**k?" Mitch whispers.

"Is there somewhere we could go-"

"You're mad-"

"Trust me." I say firmly, looking into his eyes.

"Follow me..." Mitch says.

I follow behind him. I can barely see anything in this house, the only light coming from a street lamp through a small window from outside.

Mitch leads me up the stairs to a spare bedroom, before closing the door behind us. I go to turn on the lights but he grabs my arm quickly.

"No....they'll hear." Mitch says.

I feel so lost right now. Why am I up here with Mitch? I should be in Pel's arms. I should be with him with all the crap that's happening right now. With Reid having cancer.
