When I wake up the next morning, I feel like the worst person that ever lived on this planet. I can't believe I lied to Pel like that.

To say that he was murdering myself and my son...in my dreams.

This is so stupid...I should just tell him the truth.

But what he doesn't know won't hurt him...

"Where is this party?" I ask Pel, who is focused completely on his phone, sitting at the edge of the bed.

"The studio..." Pel says. "Apparently, Dani has this huge announcement to make."

He doesn't sound like himself.

Maybe I should just try and make him forget about it.

"What I said to you..." I begin. "Last night. Just forget about it. Completely."

Pel gives me a weird look.

"Why should I forget about it?"

Because it's a lie.

"I...I just don't want you to worry about me like that...that's all."

Pel sighs and nods, but I know he's still worrying.

"Should we go now?" He says, grabbing his car keys.

"Sure..." I say.

He sounds like Mitch at that moment.

Get Mitch out of your head!

It just makes me angry. That I'm always thinking about him...and it's pointless because he's never thinking about me.

We drop Reid at Natalie's before heading to the studio.

As soon as we get in, there is Christmas music playing. It's so obvious Danielle has decorated the place. There is this massive tree, with really bright lights. There is a whole crowd of people. Danceworks family and friends.

"When she said 'christmas party' I didn't think she meant the whole of England..." Pel whispers.

That's when someone taps me on the shoulder.

It's Jamie-from 'The Biggest Picture.'

"Oh my God!" I squeal. "Jamie, what are you doing here?"

I instantly hug her. She gives Pel a massive hug too.

"I don't really know..." She says. "Danielle invited us here. I think it has something to do with this announcement she has to make."

I'm so excited to see her. I haven't seen her since her and the girls did a gig at someone's birthday party.

I hear someone call Jamie from behind.

Danielle.

"Perri and Amber are here!" Jamie calls back.

Danielle approaches us. She doesn't look happy.

"Shall I inform you..." She begins. "That the party started two hours ago?"

Crap.

"Soz..." Pel says.

Danielle just raises an eyebrow at him.

"It's okay..." Danielle says sarcastically. "The whole Danceworks community can wait for you...just take your time..."

She walks away.

"That was awkward..." Jamie says.

"What is her problem?" Pel asks.

Danielle gets up on what looks like a stage, and taps the microphone. One too many times, I think.
