Kid Tony (Revamped)

Chapter 4 - Bucky

The night passed on without any other interruptions from other nightmares or potential villains that might have wanted to attack that night.

Steve snored softly. He had forgotten to set an alarm for 5am today so he could do his usual morning run. He would have probably liked to do one today since he missed out yesterday with relaxing after the last mission and then what happened with Tony. Then again, it might have been a good thing since he also didn't want to disturb Tony either.

Tony, on the other hand, was wide awake now because of Steve's snoring. He couldn't exactly move much because Steve had his arms wrapped around him. But it didn't stop the child. He managed to wiggle out of the hug and crawled off Steve. The boy frowned a little as Steve continued to snore so he decided to try and wake him up since he was hungry.

He first started poking Steve's face, watching him shift slightly but not wake up. He then started nudging his arm, him still not budging. He frowned more and stood up on the bed, starting to jump up and down on it.

"Wake up Steve!" He shouts as he jumps on the bed.

He hadn't noticed that Steve had woken up considering he was about to fall off the bed. But Steve reached and grabbed Tony's shirt before he could hurt himself.

"You're going to be a real handful, aren't you?" Steve questioned with a chuckle as he sits up, pulling Tony away from the edge of the bed.

Tony just giggled at that and hugged Steve, looking up at him.

"I was hungry and I don't know how to make anything." Tony says as he looks at Steve.

"I'm glad you decided to wake me up. Not many others can cook in the tower. And the ones that can don't like to be woken up early." Steve says with a smile as Tony let's go of him and climbs off the bed.

"Right. Let's get changed into new clothes before I make you something to eat." Steve says and stands up, looking for the clothes Natahsa had bought for Tony.

She said that she had put them in his room. But she didn't say where she had put them. An idea got into Steve's head and he smiled down at Tony.

"Hey Tony. Natahsa has hidden your clothes somewhere. Do you think you could help me find them? You get a prize if you do." Steve asked, watching Tony's eyes light up.

"Sure!" Tony says and they both begin looking around the room for the clothes.

It didn't take them too long to find the bag of new clothes that Natasha had gotten Tony. Steve was glad to have made it into a game for Tony so he wouldn't get bored.

"What's my prize?" Tony asked as he got dressed into some of the new clothes.

"Hmm...I'll let you decide what it can be." Steve says as he also gets dressed into different clothes.

"Could I maybe get a toy?" Tony asked.

"Of course you can." Steve says with a smile.

"Yay! Dad never let's me have toys." Tony says as he finishes getting dressed, having the t-shirt the wrong way around.

"Oh? How come?" Steve asked and then chuckled at the sight of Tony. "Also, let me sort out that shirt." He says, walking over.

Tony pouted a little as he thought he had gotten his shirt right. Steve quickly sorted it out.

"Dad says toys are distractions." Tony says.

"Well, I'm going to get you one now. What kind of toy would you like?" Steve asked and picked up Tony.

"Can I have an action figure please?" Tony asked.

"Sure. Who would you like it of?" Steve asked.

"Hm...Surprise me!" Tony cheers.

"Alright. I'll get you that later. Right now, breakfast is more important." Steve says and puts Tony back down.

He held his hand out for Tony to take, which he did and they both walked out of the room to go and get some breakfast.

"Captain Rogers, I would like to inform you that Mr Barnes is in the tower. And that you also have a meeting with Fury with the other teammates." JARVIS states.

Steve sighed. That was just great. A meeting wasn't the best thing to have right now. Especially with Tony in the state that he is. He couldn't take him to the meeting. But Tony hadn't remet Bucky yet and he wasn't sure if the two would get along.

"Scratch breakfast with me. I've got a meeting to go to. But, there's someone I would like you to meet." Steve says as he walks with Tony to where he knew Bucky would be.

"Who is it?" Tony asked as they walked.

"His name is Bucky Barnes. He's my best friend." Steve says as they walk and they soon enter the living room.

And there Bucky was, sat on the couch and watching a documentary on the TV. He turned his attention to the two that had walked into the room and smiled when he saw his best friend.

"Hey Stevie, what's up?" He asked and turned off the TV to put his full attention on the two.

That's when Bucky and Tony locked eyes and just stared at each other. Steve grew worried that Tony wouldn't take a liking to Bucky. But Tony noticed Bucky's metal arm and ran over with a big smile on his face.

"Your metal arm is so cool!" Tony says as he looks at it.

"I'm glad you like it." Bucky says with a smile on his face and then looks at Steve with a confused look on his face.

Steve mouthed to Bucky that he would tell him about it later.

"Is it okay if you look after Tony while I go to a meeting with the rest of the team?" Steve asked and Bucky nodded.

"Sure. Go ahead." Bucky says and Steve smiles before leaving the two.

"Alright trouble, it's just me and you. Is there anything you want to do?" Bucky asked as he looked down at the kid.

"I'm hungry. Can we get food?" Tony asked and Bucky nodded.

"Sure. Anything else?" Bucky asked as he walked to the kitchen with the child.

"I wanna go to the lab and look at your metal arm. If that's okay with you." Tony says as he looks up at Bucky.

Bucky just smiled and ruffled his hair.

"That's fine with me. Let's get food first though." Bucky says, hearing Tony giggle.
