Kid Tony (Revamped)

Chapter 2 - New Clothes

Clint felt really awkward. He didn't know how to entertain a genius child. Yeah. Sure. He has his own kids. But they weren't geniuses. They were much easier to keep entertained. He had tried video games, board games, books, comics. Anything he could think of. But Tony did not seem interested at all. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to take Tony to the lab so maybe he could try and entertain him with archery. But the genius was slowly getting on his nerves.

"Why do you come down here and do archery every day when there's no need? You already seem exceptionally good at it. Why practice?" Tony asked as he watched Clint.

"I have to keep my skills sharp for missions." Clint says.

"But why? Surely you don't need to do it every day. Maybe a couple of days a week. But not everyday." Tony says.

"Can you be quiet now? It's hard to concentrate with you talking." Clint says as he fires another arrow.

He went to grab another arrow but realised there was no more there. He was sure there were still some in his quiver. He turned around and saw that Tony had managed to take the arrows from his quiver without even him hearing him. Yeah, his hearing is not great. But Tony had made him hearing aids that allowed him to pick up even the quietest of noises. And the child still managed.

"Give those back Tony." Clint says, trying to sound nice.

"I don't think I will. This is boring." Tony says and then runs off.

"Hey! Give them back!" Clint shouts and runs after the child.

Tony was surprisingly fast for a child, which he did prove when they were trying to get him in the lab. But it was still shocking how fast he was.

Bruce sighed when he heard Clint yell. He was busy trying to understand the artifact that had changed Tony to see if there was a way to reverse the effects. But magic was way beyond his understanding.

"You got anything Bruce?" Steve asked.

"No I haven't yet. Could you stop hovering over me? I know what I'm doing. And I'd rather only me get transformed into a kid than both of us." Bruce says and turns to face Steve.

He knew that Steve was only trying to make sure that he is okay but his mother hen was showing. And he hated being watched over constantly.

"Sorry. I'm just worried." Steve says.

"I know. But I'm fine. Unlike Tony, I know not to mess with it to the point it goes unstable." Bruce says and Steve nodded.

"And I know Clint's got kids but Tony's a genius. It may have been a better idea to let him do what he wants in here." Bruce says as he goes back to looking at the artifact.

"I am back! I have found my brother!" Thor says as he walks into the lab

"Keep your voice down you big oaf!" Loki snaps as he walks in behind Thor. "What do you guys want? I was busy in Asgard's library." He says.

"We were wondering if you had tampered with this artifact last night." Bruce says as he moves so Loki could see it.

"No I did not. I have not seen that artifact before. It is not Asgardian." Loki says. "Why did you think I tampered with it?" He asked.

That was when Tony ran into the lab with Clint's arrows, giggling. He looked up at Loki and they both made eye contact.

"Who is the guy with the horns on his helmet? He looks like Loki from Norse Mythology." Tony asked and looked at all of the other adults, hoping that they would explain.

"Yes. His name is Loki." Bruce says and looks at Loki. "I could use your help with this actually." He says.

"Who is that? I have not seen this child before." Loki asked.

"Well, that's Tony. That's what the artifact did." Steve says and Loki just chuckled.

"I will help you change Stark back. But this would have been a fun prank if I did this." Loki says, still chuckling.

"Yeah, yeah. Just help us sort this out. Tony is vital to the team." Steve says.

"On one condition. I get to do as many pranks as I want to." Loki says and they all sigh.

"Fine. Just nothing that affects us mentally." Steve says and Loki smirks.

"Deal." Loki says.

"Guys. I'm back. And I've got some stuff for Tony." Natahsa says as she walks into the lab.

"You got stuff for me? Why?" Tony asked.

"Because we haven't got clothes for a 6 year old in the tower." Natahsa says. "Now come with me so I can make sure that all this stuff fits." She says and walks out of the lab, Tony walking after her.

"He seems more bearable like this. The artifact may have done you a favor." Loki says.

"He may be annoying, but we need adult Stark." Steve says.

Loki rolled his eyes at that. "Are you sure about that? Stark is still smart as a child. He can do all that 'hacking' that he does." He says.

"He can't fight and help us on missions. He's just a child." Steve says.

"I do. And I'm only 17 in your years." Loki says, crossing his arms.

"You're still older than a 6 year old." Steve says.

"Will you two quit arguing? Tony is not a tool. He is a human being. Let him do what he wants to do." Bruce says, crossing his arms.

Natahsa came back into the lab with Tony in her arms. He was now wearing a T-shirt with a Captain America shield on the front with comfortable looking bottoms. He was also wearing Hulk themed socks.

"Really? Did you have to buy Avenger clothes?" Steve asked.

"Yes. And he loves them." Natasha says and puts him down on the ground.

"I'm bored. Can me and you do something?" Tony asked as he walked over to Steve.

"Um, sure." Steve says and picks him up.

"I can walk you know." Tony says.

"I know. Its easier to keep up if I carry you. I'll take you to my room and I'll show you my shield and other stuff." Steve says and watches Tony smile.

"Yay! Let's go!" Tony shouts and Steve chuckles, walking out of the lab.
