"I didn't know what else to do Steve! I couldn't let him watch me fight the agent and have him in danger that way!" Bucky shouts back.
"I don't think he even knows where he was going if you told him to run!" Steve shouts.
The two of them continuously argued, Bucky trying to defend his reasoning for telling Tony to make his own way to the tower.
"Why is there so much yelling here? If I didn't know any better, it sounds like a couples argument." Natasha says as she walks into the room.
They both turned to look at her. It didn't take her too long to figure out what had happened from the looks on their faces.
"What happened to Tony?" She asked as she looks at the two.
"Hydra have figured out what has happened to him." Steve says, watching Natahsa raise an eyebrow.
"That was fast. We're going to have to make sure the tower is secure and that Tony is always with someone." She says and then frowns.
"Speaking of Tony, where is he? Don't tell me Hydra have him already?" Natahsa grumbled, looking at the two.
"I hope not. Bucky told him to run to the tower without him." Steve says.
"To make sure he wouldn't get attacked by the agent we ran into and he didn't see what happened." Bucky adds.
Natahsa just sighs.
"Get the others together. We need a plan to go looking for him." Natahsa says, watching the two head off to get the rest of the team.
[Meanwhile...]
Tony panted heavily once he stopped running and looked around. He was definitely lost. He didn't know what tower he had to go to. Maybe it was the one with the big A on. But he wasn't sure.
He began slowly walking on the sidewalk, trying not to bump into people that were walking in the other direction. He still had hold of his happy meal box as he walked along. He'll try the tower with the big A first. But it was quite far away now after he ran.
Tony did get some weird looks because he was a child by himself on the streets. He passed a few homeless people and saw one holding up a sign that said that they were hungry. They had a child of their own as well.
Tony frowned a little. They were probably hungrier than him. And he had food with him right now. He walked over to them and offered them his happy meal box.
"Here you go miss. You need this more than me." Tony says as he looks up at her.
The homeless woman smiled and crouched down to his height, hugging him.
"Thank you so much young man." She says as she let's him go.
She probably didn't realise how much that hug meant to Tony. Tony didn't get hugs from his parents that often. So he really appreciated the hug.
"You're welcome miss. I hope your son enjoys the toy." Tony says with a smile on his face.
"I'm sure he will. You are such a nice young man." The woman says.
"I have to go miss but I'm glad I could help you and your son." Tony says and waves at them as he walks away from them.
The woman and son both waved at him as he walked off. He looked up when he saw that the tower wasn't that far and picked up the pace. He made it to the tower and the doors automatically opened. He slowly walked inside and walked over to the front desk, seeing the woman at the desk.
"Hello child. Are you lost?" The woman asked as he looked down at Tony.
Tony yawned a little since he had spent a long time walking around and running around and now was tired.
"I'm looking for Bucky and Steve." Tony says, them two being the only names he could remember.
"Oh. I know who you are. Just take the elevator over there. No need to press buttons. It'll take you to the correct floor." The woman says and Tony smiles.
"Thank you miss." Tony says and walks to the elevator.
He stepped inside and watched as the doors closed and it began moving up to the floor that he needed to be at. He walked out once the doors opened and walked around until he saw everyone. He ran over to Steve and tugged on his pant leg.
[Back to the Avengers before Tony arrived...]
After a lot of arguing, the whole team (minus Loki and Bruce) had gotten suited up. They weren't sure if they needed to search further out if Tony had been snagged by Hydra agents. But they were prepared if needed.
"Everyone know the plan?" Steve asked and the team nodded.
Steve was about to walk out when he felt a tugging at his pant leg. He slowly looked down to see the brown eyes of a certain child genius staring up at him.
"Tony! Thank gods you're safe!" Steve says and picks Tony up, holding him close.
"I'm sorry for scaring you all..." He mumbled and cuddled close to Steve
"It's okay. I'm just so glad you're not hurt." Steve says as he looks at the others.
"What happened to your happy meal Tony?" Bucky asked as he took him off Steve to hug him as well.
"There were homeless people that needed it more than me..." Tony mumbled.
"That was nice of you. Now I've been told that you like to cuddle with people when you sleep so you feel safe. Which one of us do you want to cuddle with?" Bucky asked.
Tony lifted his head and looked at the group before pointing at Thor. Thor had a child like grin on his face at that, like he had won a competition.
"I shall watch the child of Iron with much care to make sure he is safe." Thor says, taking Tony off of Bucky.
Tony waved at the others as he was carried off to his bedroom. He yawned some more before finally falling asleep against Thor's chest. Thor made it to the bedroom and laid down, covering them both with a blanket and he also eventually fell asleep as well.
