Both Peter and Tony were left to their own devices since Steve needed to sort out the paperwork from the meetings that they had done. Usually, Tony would be the one to do it since he had really good experience with it. However, Tony was currently a child. He definitely wasn't in any state to do paperwork.

Tony continued to build up the star wars lego set that he had started. It was a large R2D2 set that Clint had picked out for him. Peter was sat next to him, helping him with anything he needed to with the lego whilst finishing his homework.

Peter was ecstatic that he got to see Tony like this. He had never seen photos of him as a child, and he had gone searching for them. He had asked about his childhood and somehow, Tony managed to switch the topic from childhood to schematics and improvements he made to his suit. This was his chance to ask questions. Maybe not too invasive that would make him uncomfortable. But he wanted to learn a little more about his childhood.

"Hey Tony, have you been having fun with Captain America?" Peter asked as he looks at him.

Tony nodded with a big smile on his face.

"Yeah! It's really fun getting to meet him! He's just as good as dad said he was!" Tony says, bouncing a little where he sat.

"Oh really? Did your dad talk about him a lot then?" Peter asked.

"Mhm. He did. Dad created Captain America. Talked about him all the time." Tony says as he continues to build the R2D2 set, tongue stuck out a little as he concentrated.

"Really? That's cool. Did he also talk about your inventions? If you have made any that is?" Peter asked.

"I built a circuit board. I tried to show dad but he took it and broke it saying that shouldn't be wasting resources that he could be using to find Captain America." Tony says, shifting uncomfortably now and trying to keep focused on the lego.

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear that." Peter says and regretted asking about it.

The room was silent for a while after that. Peter didn't want to ask any more questions, now knowing a reason why Tony doesn't talk about it when he's older and constantly changes the topic. It didn't sound that fun.

"Peter." Tony says quietly.

"Hm? What's up?" Peter asked, looking at him.

"Do you think dad would like me if I was more like Captain America?" Tony asked, looking at him and holding the iron man figure.

"You don't need to be like Captain America. You are fine as you are. Why would you think that?" Peter asked.

"Because Captain America is perfect. And dad only loves Captain America. If I am more like him, dad may actually pay attention to me and like me more." Tony says, hugging the figure a little in his arms.

"You should not have to be more like someone just for your dad. That is not right." Peter says.

Tony sniffled a little and Peter frowned, pulling Tony into a hug.

"Hey. Its okay. You're perfect as you are. You don't need to change for your dad. I bet, when you grow up, you'll be amazing." Peter says.

Tony eventually calmed down in Peter's arms and by his words.

"You think so?" Tony asked and Peter nodded at that.

"Yeah! Of course!" Peter says with a smile on his face.

Tony rubbed his eyes a little and eventually moved out of the hug.

"Can you help me with the lego?" Tony asked, changing the subject now.

"Yeah. I can. What do you need help with?" Peter asked

The two of them went back to the lego building, Peter not wanting to bring up his childhood anymore. He couldn't understand why Tony's father didn't like him. With how child Tony acted, how could he be hated?

Steve soon came back into the room, sighing.

"Paperwork is so boring." Steve says as he looks at the two of them.

"So is homework." Peter says with a smile and stands up.

"I have to get going back to my aunt. Thanks for letting me meet Tony." Peter says and looks down at Tony.

"And it was very nice to meet you Tony." Peter says with a smile.

"Bye Peter. It was very nice to meet you too!" Tony says with a smile.

"Bye guys!" Peter says as he heads out of the room and out of the tower.

Tony continued to build for a bit.

"I am going to make sandwiches. You want to come with me and choose your fillings from what we have?" Steve asked.

Tony nodded and stood up, holding the Iron Man figure and walked with Steve to the kitchen.

Steve began making sandwiches, Tony choosing cheese and cucumber. He found that weird since he didn't think children would like that combination. But he made it for him.

"Steve?" Tony asked.

"Yes Tony? What's up?" Steve asked as he looked down at the child.

"Do you think dad will like me more if I am more like you?" Tony asked, cuddling the figure close to himself.

"You don't need to be like me for your dad to like you. Why would you think that?" Steve asked with a slight frown.

"Because dad doesn't like me. But he really likes you. So if I was to be more like you, he would like me more." Tony says.

Steve frowned more and hugged Tony.

"Do not listen to your dad. You are perfect the way you are." Steve says, ruffling his hair.

"Really?" Tony asked, eyes hopeful as he looked up at Steve.

"Yes. Of course." Steve says with a smile as he let's go of the hug.

"Now let's have these sandwiches and then we can go back to your lego." Steve says.

"Okay!"
