Chapter 32. Never Again

We were all walking together talking about how our everyday lives have been. Noya told me how Tanaka got with Kiyoko and I felt so happy for them. Noya kept talking about how he was interested in someone but he never told me who. It was actually pretty warm today considering it is fall, it feels amazing. As I'm talking with Noya I hear someone shout "Where's Atsumu and Oikawa!?" Everyone looks around to see both of them are nowhere to be found.

        Noya and I go out looking for them, I could tell Noya was trying to not touch me to make me feel uncomfortable. He's such an amazing friend, one of my best. I could hear Atsumu yelling, is he okay? I start running even faster but stop when I hear some of the words he's saying.

        He was talking to Oikawa, looks like he's been crying. "That bastard Kageyama messed up everything again!" Atsumu through his hands up in frustration, Oikawa was trying to calm him down. "I can't even touch my boyfriend without him flinching! I miss my happy boyfriend!" Atsumu was full crying now, I hurt him this much? "Atsumu you have to calm down.. he's gonna be fine, he just needs time." Oikawa had his hands on Atsumu's shoulders, Atsumu looked up at him with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry you had to deal with my unhinged ass.. you probably only talk to me cause I'm Shoyo's boyfriend" he sat down on a nearby rock running his hand through his hair with a big sigh.

        Oikawa kneeled in front of him and lifted his head. "I may be his friend and I may like him.. but I wouldn't talk to someone just because they're my friend's boyfriend.. don't ever think I talk to you just cause of Hinata." Atsumu's eyes lit up in hope. "Now come on.. let's get back to the group. I know this is frustrating but we have to be there for him, no matter how long it takes." Oikawa says and Atsumu gets up from the rock with a smile on his face. "Right! I have to be the best boyfriend ever! Don't let my feelings get in the way of helping my perfect boyfriend!" Atsumu said confidently running in the direction everyone was in.

         Noya and I run back as if nothing happened, we spoke nothing about what we saw. after we made it back to the group Atsumu and Oikawa came a few seconds later. Everyone seemed happy that Atsumu was back, but we all continued walking. Atsumu got closer to me until he was eventually by my side. I look at him and he looks at me, he then looks down at my hand. "Hey... can I... hold your hand?" Atsumu said pointing at my hand. I laugh a little but grab his hand and held it tightly.

         So Atsumu and I were holding hands as we saw all the wonders of the forest. And by wonders, I just mean bugs, mosquitoes, and wild animals. Nothing really interesting happened till we stopped at a big waterfall that has a beautiful lake that the bottom. We should totally go swimming! I feel Atsumu's grip on my hand tighten as We get excited. I always found it cheesy but swimming at a waterfall always seemed so fun. Tho I would've hoped it was just me and Atsumu here.

        Most people took off just their tops but others were dramatic and took off their pants too. Everyone hopped in except for me, Kenma, and Osamu. "Shoyo babe! Common the water is great!" Atsumu yelled from the far end of the small lake. I slowly take my shirt off with my shoes and socks. I run into the lake submerging myself into the nice temperature water. It's not as cold as I thought it was gonna be.

        I look all around for Atsumu and all of a sudden he pops up in front of me from under the water. "Come here, babe," Atsumu said grabbing my hand slowly, my body tensed at the contact. "It's okay Shoyo.. we'll take it slow, okay?" Atsumu was still holding my hand, but caressing it lovingly. I nod and he leads me towards the waterfall, I kinda forgot how loud it was until we started getting closer. Oikawa popped up from under the water in front of us surprising me and Atsumu. "Hey! How is my favorite couple doing???" Oikawa said winking at Atsumu causing me to laugh a little.

           Before we both knew it Oikawa was pulled into the water by his leg. I quickly check to see if he's okay, I cover my mouth trying not to laugh when I realize it was Iwaizumi. Looks like he hated not having Oikawa's attention, that's adorable. I come up to the surface and wipe the water out of my eyes to look at Atsumu. His hair still looked amazing wet, I loved it so much. We found a decent-sized rock that we both could conveniently fit on. We sat on it limiting our contact, he let me have my space but never left my side.

         I lay my head on his shoulder and close my eyes listening to the sound of the loud waterfall. My friends laughing and doing who knows what in the water. I quickly open my eyes when my brain replays my struggle in the dark. I don't think I can stand the dark anymore. I lift my head off of Atsumu's shoulder and look up at him. He was smiling while watching everyone do their own thing in the lake.

          He looked down at me still smiling, and I couldn't help but smile back. "I know last night was a horrible experience.. but, I want you to enjoy your time here. Okay?" Atsumu said to me and he turned his head to watch them swim again. I don't wanna ruin this for Atsumu, I want him to never regret bringing me here. I get a bit closer to him enjoying his body warmth. After getting out of the water I'm really cold. He wrapped his arm around me softly making sure it didn't seem forceful, he's so considerate.

        After relaxing and swimming a bit more it did eventually start getting dark. I wanted to get back to the cabin as fast as I could, it would amazing if I wasn't in the darkness. Now I'm afraid to function in the dark. Now I always have a feeling whenever it's dark something bad is gonna happen. Atsumu and I held hands as we walked towards the cabin with everyone. Before we went inside everyone stopped in front of the front door.

          Daichi and Suga separated themselves from the group. "We had an amazing night with you guys! But we have things to get to tomorrow." Suga said waving to us softly. I wave back as they left the group to go back home. "We'll have to head out too. Thank you so much for having us Hinata." Azumane said in a nice soft voice, he's taking Noya with him? "Sorry, Shoyo! I'll make sure we can hang out again soon okay!?" Noya said in an excited tone making me smile at the thought of hanging out with him again. I wave them off as they walked away too.

          Everyone else went into the cabin to get ready for the night, I never left Atsumu's side. He didn't seem to mind tho, he liked when I was near him. He had to take a shower so I did eventually attach myself to Oikawa. Iwazumi was always being nice to me making sure Oikawa wasn't doing anything weird. I never realized how nice he was, he always looked so intimidating. We were all watching a movie when Atsumu came back from his shower. He sat next to me with a quiet sigh I look at him to make sure he's okay. He looks at me and smiled, I blushed at the sight and turned back towards the movie.

          I feel myself being lifted, I look to see Atsumu had picked me up. "W-what are you doing?" I ask and he chuckles at my question starting to head away from the living room. "It's time for you to clean up, don't forget you were in that lake water." Atsumu was really soft with his words, I nod and let him carry me to the washroom. He put me down placing me in front of the door and smiled. "Don't take too long okay?" He said and started walking away from me.

         I panic and grab Atsumu's wrists causing him to turn towards me. "Please... don't leave..." I say tears starting to appear in my eyes. The thought of being alone again scares me, what if it happens again? "Of course Shoyo... I won't leave you okay?" Atsumu pulled me into a hug and I hug him back instantly.

"I'll never leave you Shoyo. Never again."
