I watch as Atsumu walks back into the house, I glance at Osamu who was staring at me. "Well how about now? Everyone seems busy." I ask and he nods. We both stand up and stretch, I could feel my back crack in satisfaction. Osamu heard and laughed while motioning me to follow him.For a while we walk around the forest again, this time talking about how we've been and what we plan on doing. Osamu wants to start his own business which I find very interesting. One thing I noticed was the fact that he seemed distant no matter how genuine the conversation was. "Sh-... Hinata.. you okay?" Osamu stumbled over his words, afraid to call me by my first name. "Yeah I'm fine, are you tho? You're acting distant even tho you suggested this." I say and our walking speed comes to a halt, he looked anxious.
He sighed and leaned on a nearby tree sliding to a sitting position. "If I'm being honest I just needed to talk to you alone, I've had something I've needed to tell you for a while. This place reminded me of it..." he ran his fingers through his now messy hair. I smile and kneel next to him with a reassuring smile. "Well tell me, I highly doubt what you remembered is that bad." I place a reassuring hand on his shoulder and he shook his head.
His actions confused me, I sat down next to him pulling him into a side hug. "Damn it Hinata, I'm the reason Kageyama was here!" he confessed which shocked me. "I never realized how much it's been eating me alive until now. I know you've forgiven him but I still feel like I'm at fault for it being ruined." Osamu could look at me he was disappointed in himself. "It's fine, I've forgiven him do you think I wouldn't forgive you?" I say rubbing his shoulder.
He looked at me with a slightly frustrated look. "How many times I've screwed up your happiness, I figured you'd crack eventually with my emotions," he said and I smile at him. "I'm not gonna hate you, I could never. Sure you've made mistakes but don't we all? It's a part of growing." I say still smiling causing him to look at the floor. "Your daughter is lucky to have a father like you," he admits causing my cheeks to flush. "Aw stop it, she already has a great uncle." I nudge his shoulder and laugh.
I stand up and hold a hand out to help him up. "Come on, let's continue our lovely walk," I say smiling as he grabs my hand and I pull him up. We continue roaming around the forest, we took a route away from the main path. We could hear someone approaching, we kept quiet. "Noya come back.." I heard Azumane's voice call through the forest. We looked at each other and I placed my index finger over my lips to shush him. Osamu took the hint and nodded softly as we hid.
I noticed Noya's head hiding behind a decently sized rock. I decided not to say anything and Azumane seemed to have drifted somewhere else. We approached the hiding Noya which startled him. "Why are you hiding from Azumane?" I asked and he shook his head. "I can't stand him, he just frustrates me!" Noya started strong, he wanted to get his point across.
Osamu and I sit on opposite sides of Noya and look at him. "What happened?" I ask and he kicks a nearby rock in frustration. "I just wanted to finally act on these feelings I've been having... And he rejected me! For some chick..." Noya admits shocking me. Noya liked Azumane more than a friend? "I completely understand how you feel Nishinoya..." Osamu admits and Noya looks at him.
Noya's head turned back to the floor and sighed. "Exactly, now I'm gonna feel like shit for a while." Noya hid his face in his arms. "It doesn't have to be like that..." Osamu says grabbing Noya's attention again. "I thought the same way when Hinata denied me for my brother... You just need to remember you love them and you want to see them happy... no matter what..." Osamu had doubt laced all over the words at the end of his sentence. He probably remembered that confession he made to me earlier.
Noya's spirits seemed to have been lightened as he looked at Osamu. "I guess you're right, but I've been waiting for him all this time, what if it's too late?" Noya admits and Osamu smiles at him. "Too late? We're around the same age, it's not even that old. Plus you look young and attractive, you could find someone for you." Osamu says and my eyes widen at his compliment. "You fucker, fine. I'll keep my chin up, thanks." Noya hugged Osamu as thanks and Osamu hugged back.
After their hug, I wanted to say something but Noya looked at me and seemed to look sad again. "Agh I'm fine! Stop looking at me like that!" Noya had a red face as he was speaking. He was embarrassed, I chuckle but stand up. "Let's head back eh? Wouldn't hurt to see him go again," I say and they follow my actions.
We all head back in silence, not a word was spoken and I felt weird. We made it back to the cabin and I wrapped an arm around Noya's shoulders rubbing slowly. "You got this Noya, I know you have a strong will," I say and he nods in response. We all walk through the door to be greeted by everyone still conversing with one another.
The moment we made a sudden movement Atsumu's attention was diverted toward the door. I loved his keen eye sight, he would see the slightest movements. He walked up to us with a smile. "Having no daughter to take care of is stressful, nothing to worry about... It all seems too easy." atsumu spoke while wrapping his arms around me lovingly. I could feel my cheeks heating up from embarrassment.
As Atsumu kept ranting I noticed that Osamu and Noya had snuck their way away from me. They left me with a lonely Atsumu, which means I definitely can't help Noya. I mentally sigh and softly rub Atsumu's back to calm him. Let's just hope whatever they're doing Noya's mood will be a bit better.
Just who exactly is healing? 🤔
