Kayle POV

January 2015

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee that's all that was on my mind after the all nighter I pulled trying to help my sister with her last minute wedding finalizations. As I have been doing for the past week I've been home. The wedding was still over a week away but as maid of honor it was my job to make sure everything was perfect. At least that's what she kept telling me. She was running me dry and this coffee place just smells amazing even though I'm on barely 2 hours of sleep and can't keep my eyes open more than 10 minutes at a time I just had to come here. Since I've been home I came to this shop everyday around the same time. Okay, okay she ushered me out of the house around the same time everyday because her fiancé came home and she wanted sexy time. Would tell me to go get coffee take my time but be back in half hour cause Joe had to go back to work, and we needed to get back to it.

So here I stand in this cute coffee shop in Texas during my spring break. I loved it here this was home for sure, and being 31 in college quite a few states away, being home was amazing, seeing my family was amazing, seeing my almost 2 year old daughter after 12 weeks of non-stop classes was even more amazing, and I loved this coffee so much even though it wasn't even in my hand yet, but it was my true love right now, anything with caffeine would have worked honestly, but this coffee right now, yes. I loved this town I just loved everything Texas the guys the weather my family...Oh everything. Alright I can tell I'm a little delirious now. I shook my head hard to try and bring myself back to earth.

"Kay?" I snapped out of my daze and smiled at the lady, finally coffee in my hand. I was going to just head back to my sisters place and sit outside and drink it, or pass out whichever happened first. I turned on my heels, head down, and went towards the door. Thanks to my clumsy and half asleep self I stumbled over my feet. My coffee landed on the ground splashing everywhere and I landed in a pair of tan arms, head on a wonderfully hard chest, way too embarrassed to even look up to see who they belonged to.

"Are you okay? Lucky I was here to soften your fall." Still too embarrassed to look up I quickly got my feet back under me and bent right down to start cleaning up my mess, my wonderful coffee mess that I haven't even gotten to take a single sip of. I really might actually cry.

"I am so, so sorry!" I threw my hands to my face to try and hide myself turning bright red. Thank god besides the people working we were the only two in the little coffee shop.

"It's alright, don't be sorry. It was partially my fault anyways so I should be the one that is sorry, I've seen you in here a few times this week haven't I?" He bent down with towels helping me clean up. I tried to hide my laugh but it didn't work very well.

"I can't even see straight, I tripped over my own two feet because I have had barely any sleep in the past 48 hours and you are apologizing to me? I've had so much coffee in the past week to last me a life time so yes you probably have seen me in here." He continued to help me clean up the spilled coffee and get everything into the trash can. I finally looked up at him and holy hot. Pretty positive if I had coffee in my hand it would have fell right back out anyway just looking at him. Bright hazel gorgeous eyes, amazing dirty blonde hair, perfect smile, perfect tan, just amazing.

Over the past two years I've only dated one guy, him and I met in a dive bar. I was drunk and singing karaoke and he joined me. When I finally became sober I found out who he was, Sam Hunt by the way, and ended up singing in a few of his songs which was awesome. We were basically friends that would make out sometimes.

We didn't date long, we both quickly realized we were better as friends especially since we were both still in love with our exs. He and I still talk at least weekly.
