Jensen's POV

Seeing Kayle from afar, keeping my distance and staying with my family was the hardest part of this wedding. Oh, and making sure she didn't see me because she was with someone. I didn't want her to see how badly that hurt me. So, I just kept my distance played with the beautiful little girl that kept bringing me flowers and asking to dance. I had to politely deny her dance requests for reasons I couldn't explain to a 2-year-old that could barely talk, that I've had dance parties with every time I saw her. Which was about once a month since she was an infant and always with Momma S. Seeing Kayle walk down the aisle in that beautiful dress brought tears to my eyes remembering when she was walking down in an amazingly gorgeous white dress at our wedding. An image that will never get out of my head. I never wanted it to anyway. But seeing her smiling and laughing with this guy tore through me so hard.

"Jensen my boy!" Kayle's g.d. caught me off guard at the bar.

"Hey G.D. how's everything?" I couldn't help but smile a little seeing this old man could brighten anyone's day.

"Doing fantastic, how are you? We miss seeing you son always so busy!"

"Life of an actor, right? I could be better but can't complain ain't nothing I don't deserve. How's G.M? Young as ever I assume."

"Beautiful as always. Young as a spring chicken." We both laughed. "I'm sorry to hear about you and Kay, I was rooting for the two of you, still am, not a fan of this guy she has with her today he seems quite fake. To put it nicely." I just half smiled at him. "I know it hurts son, don't drown that in a bottle though alright? Make the best you for when y'all are together again." I half smiled again.

"I don't deserve to get her back."

"Son, after hearing what happened, you can't be thinking like that we all know y'all belong together like my spring chicken and I. Time heals all wounds, you never know what's around the corner." With that he slapped me on the back, grabbed 2 drinks and walked back towards his wife. Listening to this old wise man that I have known my whole life say something I really only dreamt was true meant more than hell ever know.

It was hard to believe that her and I would end up back together at all. A year and a half ago I tried going to her mom's place to surprise her one time I knew she was home but nobody else was. Needless to say, on my way up to the door I noticed her eating dinner happily through the window.

Then I saw a guy walk behind her give her a kiss on the cheek before he sat down next to her eating. I thought I was going to die right there of a broken heart.
