Kristie Wedding Day

"Sweetheart we can find you a date for tonight still even this short of notice." I rolled my eyes as I was finishing up my make-up. Today was the day of my sisters' wedding. I hadn't told anyone Chris was my date so my mother was still up my ass trying to convince me to let her get me a date. The only person that knew was my sister. "Keryn make the call hun!"

"Keryn, don't make the call jeeze, Mother...Kayle doesn't want you to find her a date because she already has one now stop stressing me out on my day!" My sister walked behind us and back over to where her make-up and hair were being done.

"YOU WHAT?!" My mom was next to me faster than I thought she could move. "Why wouldn't you tell me, what is his name. Where is he from, what does he do for a living. Why do I not know about him, where did you two meet and how long have you been seeing him?!"

"And you wonder why she didn't tell you though?" My brother walked up next to her handing her something before walking back out of the room.

"Keryn James get back her mister! Did you know about this?!" My mother was still screaming. My brother poked his head back in the room.

"Nope, why would I have invite Jay if I knew, but if she is happy let it go mom, just let it go." He came in the room dancing and then ran back out when my mother tried throwing a note pad at him. We could hear him laughing down the hallway.

"Talk daughter of mine, tell me about this boy!" I rolled my eyes and turned to her.

"Well he is going to be here probably very soon, he is amazing. And I really wish Keryn told me he invited Jensen...this isn't okay"

"AND HE IS GORGEOUS!" My sister yelled from the bathroom, I smiled and put my head down probably blushing.

"What is his name"

"His name is Chris and you are not going to be daddy-mom and ask him a billion questions when he does get here. You are not, I repeat are not going to scare him away for any reason, or even try to scare him away. He is an amazing guy hasn't tried to get into my pants and has a fantastic career that he loves." I stood up to go to the bathroom and she followed.

"I trust you and everything with this and you are old enough to make your own decisions but is he aware you leave tomorrow afternoon to go back to school for 6 weeks because darling you are not going to ditch school for a boy. The deal we have I keep JJ you keep going to school you need to have a career so this lady can grow up with her mommy, hopefully one day her daddy too."

"Mom...trust me the last thing he wants is me to ditch school, and plus he isn't my boyfriend or anything officially so right now we're just dating. His career and what I'm going to be doing as a career co-inside with each other. So don't worry about me Mom I've got this, I promise okay. I'm ready to let someone take my heart, or at least I think I am...and trust me when I say that my main priority is getting my little girl back in my arms every night." I hugged my mom, more to assure her that I was okay then anything. Since our dad passed she's been overly worried about all of us with everything of course.

"Sis someone is here for you and I'm not sure if he should come in the room." I laughed knowing who it was and my mom practically threw me away from her to run to the door of the bedroom. I pushed her out of the way got out the door and closed it.

"I love you hold this closed for a few minutes!" I glared at my brother and he got the hint and pulled against the door with all his weight. Not that he had to because Mom wasn't exactly strong per say. I looked at Chris who was trying to contain his laugh. He looked perfect was wearing a black suit with a turquoise button up and a black skinny tie. He looked perfect and I was wearing pajamas. "Hey" I smiled
