I woke up to my phone ringing which isn't normal for me. Usually I sleep in till about 9 before heading into set. I didn't look at it before answering it. "Hello?"

"Hey Chris I am so sorry about this especially being this early but I really need your help and I didn't know who else to call that I could trust enough" I sat up quickly and jumped out of bed.

"Mrs. Santiago?" I threw on a pair of pants and socks grabbing a t-shirt and slid my shoes on running out to my car without even thinking I jumped in and started heading to her house.

"Yes, I need you to come watch JJ, please I'm begging you."

"Yea of course I'm on my way what happened?"

"Keryn got hurt real bad at work he's in the hospital they won't give out any details besides it isn't good and with his wife being out of state for work she's trying to fly in but having a hard time, I just need to be there and don't want JJ seeing her uncle in whatever condition he may be in and Kristie being on her honey-moon."

"Mrs. Santiago, it's alright calm down I'm already on my way I'll be pulling up in just a few. I do how ever have to bring her to set with me as long as that is okay with you?"

"That's fine we can put the car seat in your car as soon as you get here." I pulled up into the driveway as she was outside un-strapping the car seat from her car. I hung up and jumped out of my car opening up the passenger door and pushing up the seat. "Have you ever had one of these in your car before?" I laughed

"To be honest no I have not but best time to start is now right?" She laughed and showed me how to hook the seat in and how to hook JJ in properly before we headed inside her house. Walking in the front door I instantly heard the little girl giggles which made me smile of course.

"She's in the living room I told her she was going to stay with you for a little while not that she fully understands it but at least she knows." She laughed a little and I walked into the living room, I couldn't see her at first until I heard her giggle again and found her under a blanket hiding. I picked up the blanket and saw her little face light up.

"Hey monster" I smiled at her she jumped up from under the blanket 'rawred' at me and then pounced I fell back and held her up in the air as we wrestled around for a few minutes before Mrs. Santiago came in.

"I can see why my daughter likes you so much in such a short amount of time."

"Because I get along with a 2 year old so well?"

"No because you are truly an amazing man that from the looks of it will do anything for her."

"Anything in the world that I can make possible." I smiled and she smiled back at me. "Right monster" She continued to giggle. "You gonna come hang out with me today?" A huge smiled grew on her face and she nodded her head up and down quickly mumbling 'yes' at the same time.

"Okay well I'm going to run and get to the hospital I'll call you as soon as I can okay?"

"Not a problem take your time, we're going to go have some fun" We followed her out and I put JJ into my car and backed out of the driveway heading to where I've been staying. We got there and everyone was still asleep so I brought her up to my room turned on cartoons and dumped a pile of cars out for her and I to play with. I looked at my phone after setting JJ down on the bed it was 9 am so I knew Kayle would be in class so I decided to text her.

Good morning beautiful, figured you're in class by now.

I am actually, surprised you are awake this early ;)

Yea had a phone call around 8 in panic mode

With my last text I attached a video of myself and JJ I pulled up my camera faced it front and looked at her "Hey princess want to say hi to mommy?"

She looked up into the camera and smiled "Hi mommy, pay cars!" I laughed and couldn't help my smile.

"Anything else you want to say to mommy?" She tapped her little chin and smiled "Oh yes, I love you, I miss you and we have blow her kisses" She blocked my mouth "Me first" She blew her a kiss and then took her little hand away from my lips "ok now you blow mommy kiss like this" she proceeded to show me what to do so I did exactly what she said before ending the video and sending it.

Needless to say I'm taking the day off.

"Can I wramp cars off here?" JJ pointed to the bed.

"Heck yea how far do you think it'll go?"

"So far!" She pushed a car forcing it to slightly fly in the air and land on the floor. Her little hysterical laugh had me cracking up. The door to my room flew open in response and Brett was standing there wide-eyed.

"Dude...scared the crap out of me no joke, who's little lady?" JJ jumped into my arms and buried her head in my shoulder. I instinctively started rubbing her back.

"Kayle's little princess JJ" She lifted her head and threw her finger to her mouth to shush me like she didn't want anyone knowing who she was. I tried to hide my laugh.

"Oh nice hey little lady, I got something you'd like to play with I'll be right back." Brett left the door open and disappeared.

"It's alright sweetheart, that's my friend his name is Brett. He's very silly" My phone started ringing. "Mommy must have seen our video" I pressed answer. "Hey there gorgeous"

"Hey, now not that I'm complaining because that was the cutest video I have ever seen hands down, but why do you have her?"

"You're mom called me little over an hour ago freaking out, your brother was in some kind of accident at work and was rushed to the ER and called her, and she didn't want her seeing your brother in whatever condition it may have been. She hasn't called me back yet but I asked her to keep me updated. And of course I couldn't say no, I told you I'm here for you guys and I meant it. Is it okay that I have her? She said she called everyone she knew and they're all busy."

"Oh crap I'll have to call her, yea it's okay. I'm going to give her aunt a call and see if she can take her for the night so my mom doesn't have to worry"

"I've got this beautiful aren't you supposed to be in class?"

"Yes but I'm momma bear and she's never been with anyone but myself and my mom and her one aunt, this is new to me, so I ran to the bathroom."

"Well we will take tons of pictures for you so you can see our day is going to be great. I told your mom to take her time I'm enjoying the bonding time."

"Okay well please call me seriously if there are any issues. And I'll call her aunt."

"I will I promise. And Kristie is on her honeymoon."

"Her other aunt..."

"Her father's sister?"

"Yea..."

"Hi Mommy!!!"

"Wanna talk to her?"

"Yea can I?" I handed the phone to JJ which she apparently knew exactly what to do with it.

"Hi mommy I miss you! have cars, and toons. Yes I be good. Okay bye mommy I love you too" She handed the phone back to me.

"Ill call you back in a few."

"Okay I told you I've got this."

"I know."

She hung up the phone.
