Day Eighteen (Cont.)

"Fitz."

"Simmons."

She ran to his arms and let him hug her, but she didn't mind too much herself.

He was finally back.

"You-you're back, god, Fitz! You're back!"

They were so happy.

"Jemma, bloody hell. You're so damn gorgeous. I've missed you so much."

She chuckled as he blurted out ever word.

"Fitz, you've been with me for the past 9 days, alive and breathing."

"That wasn't me," he muttered.

She knew this was true but she didn't wanna say it.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

He sighed, "I was so nervous. I couldn't, I knew you never thought of me as more than a friend."

Or he thought.

"You were wrong," she shook her head, "I love you, Fitz."

A smile appeared on his face as he realized what she had just said.

He put his forehead on hers.

"Say it again," he whispered, closing his eyes.

"I love you, Leopold Fitz."

"And I love you, Jemma Simmons."

He leaned down, as if to give her a kiss, but she stopped him.

"I've been wanting to do this to a breathing and well alive Fitz."

She grabbed his face and stared into his eyes.

A kiss; on his cheek.

A kiss; on his temple.

A kiss; on his forehead.

A kiss; on his opposite temple.

A kiss; on his opposite cheek.

A kiss; on his jaw.

A pause.

She smiled, and crashed her lips into his.

There were howls and hollers from behind them and they pulled apart.

Skye, Tripp, and May were all standing there clapping.

"Skye!"

Fitz screamed and gently pulled away from Simmons.

He jogged to Skye and hugged her.

She smiled and hugged him back.

"Fitz, you remember!"

Jemma was happy that Fitz and Skye were celebrating, but she wanted Fitz all to herself.

She knew it was selfish.

Skye obviously took notice to this and rushed Fitz back over to Simmons.

"Go visit with Simmons, she needs you."

He stood next to Simmons and she wrapped her arms around him.

"Come on," he stated, "we have some catching up to do."
