Daniel's Point of View-

"Thank you, Nico," I said hesitantly, as we pulled out of the park, finally away from Scott's sight. Nico grabbed tissues from a box that was sitting in the compartment of his car, and gave me a bunch to hold at my forehead. "Just keep that there, until we get to my house," he said.

I didn't have the heart to decline, even though he wasn't asking me. His house surprisingly wasn't far away, so we arrived there in a few seconds. He pulled his car through the driveway, the headlights illuminating the garage door in the dusk of night. He opened the door, and quickly ran around to my side to open my door for me. He helped me out, and then awkwardly held my hand as he walked to his front door. He shuffled through his pocket to grab his keys, and then opened the door slowly, and quietly.

"Try not to make any sound, my mom is probably downstairs in the study," he said. I nodded, and he guided me through the house to his bathroom. Inside, he closed the door, and immediately went through the glass cabinet to reach for the antibiotics. "Go ahead, sit down," he pointed to the closed toilet, and I sat down. He continued to shuffle through the cabinet, and picked out a small bottle, with a wrapper containing a band-aid, and then went in front of me.

He kneeled down onto his knees, and then his blue eyes studied my face carefully. I took the tissues off of my face, allowing him to pour some of the antibiotic on a wipe, and then gently dab the spot where my forehead was violently bleeding. I cringed a little from the pain, and he let out a weak smile. "Aw don't cry, we don't want you to have an infection now do we?" he teased.

I nodded, and tried to give a weak smile in return despite the actual pain. After a few seconds, he pulled the tissue away, and threw it in the trash, before unwrapping the band-aid and placing it on my forehead. "Wow, this is really obvious," he helped me stand up so I could look at the mirror.

"Hold on, I'll be right back," Nick said, already tip toeing out of the bathroom. Within a minute, he came back with a small dark baseball cap. He put it on and adjusted it over my head. "There we go!"

"Now, it's okay, until you guys settle things, you can hang out with me for the night," he offered.

The offer was quite compelling, and I couldn't help but accept it. "Sure," I said, a bit too eagerly, finally looking at him. He smiled back at me, and nodded. We both stepped out of the bathroom, turning off the lights, and then walked out of the dark, empty house, back into his driveway. He opened the car door for me, allowing me to get in, and then he got in the driver's seat himself. After buckling up, and him starting the car, he looked at me eagerly, "All ready?"

"Yep!" I said, feeling a bit better.

He pulled out of the driveway, and onto the road. The school wasn't that far from his home either, so it would only take us a few minutes to get there. The beginning of the ride was quiet, but I broke that silence after feeling inclined to ask.

"Nico, why were you alone at the park?" I felt bad for not staying in my own business, but since we're close friends, he can tell me if something was wrong right?

He let out a deep sigh, keeping his one hand on the wheel and continuing to look forward. His face was covered with a grim shadow, and I knew this wasn't going to be pleasant.

"Well, you know couples go to that park all the time right? To spend time together and make out."

I nodded.

"Well, this was the first year I ever went out on a date with a girl, and that park was where our date took place."

He continued, "She had brunette hair, brown eyes, looked really cute. Her voice had a nice Australian accent to it, and she had this summer kind of feel to her. When we came to this park, we spent time together just staring at the sky, while eating healthy foods. At the end, when the sun began to pass the horizon, she thought it was the perfect moment, and wanted to kiss me."
