Daniel's Point of View-

"Well, since the lock-in begins in a few hours, I guess we could go to a park or something," I had suggested.

Scott merely grinned at me, and with that, he turned his keys in the ignition and the car engines roared. He pulled out of his driveway, and began on the road as I watched him curiously. What could he be planning?

After about half an hour, we stopped in the parking lot of a small little park. It wasn't anything special, it was surrounded by small white picket-fences. Half of it was filled with a small pond, with little tadpoles floating upon the water. There was a gazebo sitting on the grass, greeted by small road stones edged into the ground. The lot was empty, except for one other car beside us.

Scott unlocked the doors, took his keys out, and stepped out. He gestured for me to get out as well, and so I did. Nobody was occupying the park, at least I thought oddly enough, so I didn't see much reason to stay here.

As we walked in, I grew the nerve to ask, "Why did you take us here, it's practically empty."

"Dunno,"

I saw a frown crawl up onto his face, when he saw a familiar face peeking out from one of the gazebos. He stepped out from one of the pillars holding the decoration up, and walked down the steps. "Daniel, Scott!" Nico shouted. Scott looked a little tense at seeing Nico here, but I didn't hesitate to run up to him. He pulled me into a friendly hug, and held me tight.

Scott stepped behind us, and cleared his throat, which was the signal for him to stop. He let me go carefully, and then stood in front of us. "What are you guys doing here?" He asked first. "I should be asking you the same question, yeah?" Scott replied. I turned my head to him, and pursed my lips, telling him not to be rude.

"Looking at the sky," he replied, pointing to the gazebo. He led us up the stairs inside the decoration, and we adjusted our feet to best suit the wooden floors. He pointed to one of the open windows, and we saw a beautiful view of the sky, and the city. "Pretty," I commented. Scott merely nodded, but something told me he still wasn't sure what Nico was doing here. To be honest, I could care less about what he was doing here, but it's great to see a friend.

"You guys ready for the lock-in? Where's your stuff?" He questioned, looking around. I was about to point to our car, but Scott finished my phrase for me, "In the car," he blurted out. Nico nodded in return, then walked over to one of the inward-benches, and took a seat. Beside him was an open picnic basket, filled with chips and soft drinks. Why was he at the park alone, with food to eat by himself? My questions were answered as he took out a soft drink and cracked it open, leading me to believe that the basket was indeed his.

"If you guys aren't going anywhere for the time being, feel free to join me," he said, slouching his arms over the borders of the gazebo. He had a lazy smile on his face as he stared at me through his crystal-blue eyes. Scott and I looked at each other, and he had a solemn look on his face. I shrugged, and sat next to the blonde boy. "Want a soda?" he asked, holding up a Coke next to me. "Sure," I said eagerly, accepting the soda. Scott grimly walked over and took the seat beside me, placing his arms on his lap, while he leaned his head to look over at us.

"Why are you here alone?" Scott didn't hesitate to ask.

"Well, just enjoying the view, like I said," Nico replied a little nervously.

I gave Scott a stern look, telling him to stop nudging into his business, but he wouldn't give in. Nico took his attention off of us when he pulled a bag of chips out of the basket, and ate them while looking fowards. Scott leaned in towards me, and whispered into my ear, "Daniel, I don't like this guy, let's ditch him," he said.
