Scott's Point of View-

...

"We'll get you some clothes at my house," I said, grinning. My clothes might be a little to big for him, but if he was wearing pajamas then it wouldn't show that much of a difference.

He smiled back at me, he knew what I was thinking. I was also curious to see how he'd look in my clothes. In a few more minutes, we pulled up on my driveway, next to my dad's car, and we both got out. I put both of my hands on my hips, and let out a deep breath. I didn't expect his friend Nico to find out about us, but it happened, and surprisingly he's okay with it.

We made friends with each other, and as it turns out he isn't so bad. "I'm going to go get the tent, I'll meet you back here," Daniel told me, already running to his house from across the street. His mom's car wasn't there, so that meant she wasn't home. I glared at my dad's car, and I groaned. All I'm going to do is go in there, pack my stuff, and then hang out with Daniel somewhere else.

I walked to the front door, and unlocked it with my keys. I stepped inside, and I initially didn't see anyone. That's when I heard faint chattering coming from the other room, and I could hear my dad's voice in there, but something told me he wasn't alone. I wanted to go check it out, but maybe he was in a call or something, so I just walked into my room.

After a few minutes of hard work, I had my XBOX, controllers, some games, and a pillow and blanket all inside a storage backpack. Daniel was probably outside, waiting for me, so I knew I had to hurry up and go meet him. Once I stepped outside my room, I glanced around the corner, and then I saw a blonde woman in the kitchen, using her cellphone.

My eyes widened, and she glanced up at me as well. She put her phone back in her pocket, and turned towards me. "Hi there," she said, a litle nervously.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked. I didn't waste any time being friendly with her, she didn't look like somebody from a business or anything, because she was dressed in casual clothes. As soon as I said it, my old man stepped into the room from the hallway. "Oh, son, you came in?" He stated, making it sound like a question.

"No shit, who the hell is she?" I asked, waving my arms to the blonde woman next to me. She looked just as confused as I did, and my dad's facial expression grew a bit angrier. "Son, that is no way to talk to, and in front of a guest; haven't I taught you anything?" He admitted. He stepped in front of us, so he could properly introduce me.

"This is my friend from work, Claire. Claire, Scott; Scott, Claire."

She turned her head towards me, giving me a weak smile, and holding out her hand in front of me for a handshake. Like I was going to shake this slut's hand, fuck no. After a while, she put her hand back in front of me, changing her smile to a frown.

My dad shook his head at me, but I didn't care. Was he seriously trying to pull this bullshit again?

"We're going out, okay son? If you don't like it, then I'm sorry, but-"

"No, dad, I don't like it!" I shouted, "I don't want any of your crappy apologies either, because if they didn't work on mom, then they sure as hell aren't going to work on me. How could you do this to mom? She loved you, you ditched her for another woman, and she left you. I don't blame her a single bit, no, this was your fault entirely. Have you even thought about what you did, have you even improved since she died?"

"Yes, I have improved! Of course you wouldn't know any of that, because you're the perfect son who just sits in his room all day and neglects his own father. I have improved, I know better, and all I'm asking for you is to just accept this for me, for us."

He embraced Claire's hand with his own, and pulled her towards him to where they were both looking down at me. Claire had a shocked look on her face, and I don't blame her, we're both crazy and we're just shoving it down her throat.

"Your mother would've wanted me to have moved on, you know." He replied. He held his other arm out, straight in front of me, wanting me to come together so we could be united as a new family.

There is no way that was going to happen. I am steaming right now, and I wanted to cuss them all out, but I had other methods for relieving my stress. I trained my eyes directly towards his, making sure he knew how angry I was.

Then, I turned my eyes towards the blonde, she looked at me, holding her hand to her mouth with a shocked expression. "I hope you know what you're getting yourself into," I said one last time, and then I turned around, and walked out the door, slamming it behind me.

I stomped down the driveway, and I saw Daniel behind my car, looking at me anxiously. He had a bag as well over his shoulders, which I guessed was for the tent. "What's wrong, Scott?" He asked, slowly walking towards me. "Don't touch me!" I accidentally blurted out, and he jumped back. He was frowning now, and I didn't mean to say that.

"I'm sorry," I said, cooling down. He tried stepping towards me again, and this time I didn't say anything. "Your face is really red," he commented. putting his hand over my cheek. "Did something happen?" He asked. Nothing of what happened would concern him, so I couldn't tell him.

"Nothing, I'm cool," I reassured him, already unlocking my car and slipping inside. He slowly went into the passenger's seat beside me, and kept looking at me hesitantly. He probably didn't believe me, but I can't tell him. I want to get out of here as soon as possible. "So, where do you want to go?" I asked him.

"Um..."

"Well, since the lock-in begins in a few hours, I guess we could go to a park or something," he suggested.

I knew of a great, and very romantic park near the school, and I just grinned thinking about it. With a few hours to kill, we could get a lot of dirty things done in time before it started.
