knock knock knock
"Time to wake up miss." Erby whispered as he entered my room.
I groaned in protest, not wanting to wake up. I was to start tutoring today and was absolutely dreading it. I wasn't even sure what I was supposed to learn, there couldn't be that much to proper etiquette, right? Although I wished I could sleep the day away, I knew that there was no way of avoiding it. I entered my bathroom and noticed that the shower was already running and my clothes had been set out for the day.
The water was the perfect temperature and it felt nice to have my own bathroom with good lighting. The clothes were a bit more formal than usual, a black skin tight skirt that went mid-thigh and a white oversized sweater. My hair was still wet and none of my makeup had been transferred, so I was left hopeless with my head. I decided it was good enough and walked out of my room, but was stopped by Erby.
"Oh miss, you can't go out like that. Let Erby fix it" He motioned for me to crouch down to his level.
He snapped his finger and my hair was dry, he then snapped again and my hair was in a half up, half down style. I smiled and thanked him before walking away again. As I walked down the stairs, I noticed a short, larger woman in all pink standing with the minister of magic. My parents were across from them, and seemed to be having an intense conversation before noticing me.
"Aroura, dear this is Delores Umbridge, she is apart of the ministry, and as you know, the minister of magic Cornelius Fudge." My father announced them and they both gave their hellos.
"Delores will be your etiquette tutor, and Mr. Fudge, what was it you said you were here for?" My mother asked, a slight change in her usual tone.
"Oh yes, of course! Well first and foremost, I'm proud to welcome one of our finest pureblood families back to London. Secondly, I would like to personally invite you to my box during the Quidditch World Cup." He smiled. I looked over at my father with pleading eyes for him to accept his offer.
"We would be more than honored to attend." My father answered, resting his hand on my shoulder.
"As wonderful as that sounds, I'll be helping the Malfoy's set up for the ball after. I suppose it'll only be our darling Aroura and Orion." My mother sighed.
"Not to worry, I suppose I should be going off. I have important business to attend to. Have a great rest of your day, I'll see you later Delores." He hurried quickly waving us goodbye.
"I suppose we should let you two get to it, yes?" My father nodded his head towards me and my new tutor as he and my mother went into another room. She smiled sweetly at them.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you." I stuck my hand out for her to shake, only to be hit by a look of disgust.
"I see we have work to do." Her voice was higher than I expected, possibly more annoying as well.
We walked over to one of the study rooms and she closed the door behind us. Immediately she moved a desk and chair to the center of the room, motioning for me to sit down. She then found the chalkboard and chalk and began to write, but used her wand instead of her hand. As if she didn't know how to write normally, or she didn't want to get her precious hands dirty.
"Lesson number one, greetings." She turned around and smiled at me.
I quietly rolled my eyes, realizing that this was going to be a long next few weeks.
