Third person point of view
The next day went by quickly, with Saeko getting up early to cook breakfast but was met with Yn already in the kitchen, plating food. "When did you learn how to cook?" Saeko asked as the peeked over the table.
"Ah, just an hour ago. I was following instructions online.." Yn said with a smile, Saeko chuckled and sat down on the seat while Yn did so too. "Let's just hope it's good." Yn added.
They both clapped their hands together and prayed.
As they both put the spoon filled with food in their mouth, they were both met with surprise. "Wow, it's good considering it's your first time." Saeko nodded in approval, it was just a simple breakfast of garlic rice, eggs and käsekrainer but it wasn't burnt and didn't taste bad.
"Cooking should become your thing, or not. Totally depends on you, but the eggs are seasoned well and it's good." Saeko smiled at her once again, Yn also smiled in response and they both continued eating.
Days and nights passed by. Saeko and Yn had started to become even more closer than before and got along well. But Saeko found it weird, there were feelings that she started to develop for Yn. It was weird because she was barely human anymore.
"I should stop." Saeko repeats that statement to herself daily. It was weird, it was weird. She tried to convince herself but it felt like it was too hard to do so.
It made her head spin and ache so she decided to leave that thought for future her to handle.
"We didn't schedule a deadline, I know. But the project we have ongoing for you and the cyborg stops today after classes. It seems we might have to reset and reprogram her once again since there seems to be a problem with her."
"Reprogram, reset, reprogram, reset, reprogram, reset, reprogram." The two words constantly repeated in her head. Not only was it tiring but it felt like a stab in her heart, not a big one but enough to make the heart start to bleed. She didn't like the idea, if they were resetting Yn, that'd mean she'd forget about everything.. right?
"After you reset her, will her memories of the first time I got her still retain?" She asked the teacher.
"I'm afraid it wouldn't, but it's alright. We'll give her a paper about you and everything she's learned to read and memorize later." Lies.
Reprogram and reset.
Reprogram and reset.
Reprogram and reset.
It felt like it was the end of the world. To her, Yn losing her memories made her feel like she was standing at the edge of a cliff, once Yn loses her memories, Saeko will fall. Down to the big, dark, and never ending hole that was right below the cliff.
It scared her, made her feel uneasy, but Yn was only someone she had borrowed from the makers as a project.
She had no right to tell them what she thought would have been best for Yn.
