UNDER THE LIGHTS 𝘩. 𝘺𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪

[ Ynnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ]

Text messages from Yachi with her dragging the last letter of my name spammed my phone. I stretched and sat up my bed as I smiled down my phone and opened the conversation.

[ GOOD MORNINGGGNKFKFOFKF i just woke up AHAHHAIZHA ] I sent the reply.

[ AH I'M SO SORRY FOR SPAMMING ] She replied to the message. [ IT'S FINE THOUGH. ANYWAYS- wanna chill or like hang out later? ]

[ and do what? 😏 ]

[ OMFG NOOO YACHI- ]

[ SORRY ]

The rest of our chat continued and we finally set a time and place to meet up today and with that, I plugged my phone in its charger and took a bath, making sure I smelled good. I put on stylish clothing and sent Yachi a message to wear something similar to mine.

A few hours had passed, it was almost time to meet up with her so I grabbed my phone and head out.

"Yachi, babygirl!" I waved my hands and I caught her attention, she ran up to me and we hugged each other like it had been years since we haven't seen each other. "Anyways, there's a place I wanna go with you! Let's go!" She excitedly said and grabbed my hand as she dragged me along with her.

It was the big park that was renovated by the government, it had more space along with a big area in the middle with a fountain along with benches. The rest of the place was surrounded with grass, big trees for shade and a lot of flowers.

I look up the light post to see lights hanging from one to another. "Let's wait for evening, I hear it's very nice here in the evening." Yachi's never let go of my hand as she smiled at me, I did the same. "It looks plain but.. with you, I don't think it will." Her smile was bigger now while my stomach did flips.

"I.. think I love her."

Our hands were still intertwined as we walk around to look for a place to eat.

"Yn, Yn! Look!" Yachi dragged me once again back to the park, it was already evening but the lights still have yet to turn on. "Let's stay here." She said.

We stayed in that area for a while until Yachi held my hand again, I intertwined our fingers once more and in that moment, the pretty lights turned on and the fountain too.

The fountain sprayed up with different colors emitting from the light bulb below while the hanging lights along with a few light posts made everything clear and beautiful, with the moon and the stars that surrounded the night sky, shine down upon us.

"The moon looks beautiful tonight, Yachi."

"Yeah.. it really is beautiful."

did i just finish the tanaka saeko mini series and publish a short yachi oneshot in one day? yeah, i did-

i was initially going to write this oneshot where you and yachi are best friends and are just sweet with each other and hold hands yknow and then once you arrive at said park, the first years (karasuno) show up and yachi lets go of your hand while she runs up to yamaguchi or hinata-

and i wanted to make this long and sad but i think that's enough angst for now 😭
