Chapter 23

"Why does no one else clean?" complained Levi

"Well everyone else just fell asleep but you are the only who is still awake," said Eren

It was currently 2 in the morning and the Christmas party had just settled and everyone passed out either on the couch, floor, or dining table but only Levi was still awake since he couldn't sleep in a dirty environment

"How can anyone sleep in this mess?"

"It isn't so bad," said Eren

"There is bottles on the floor and dining room, food is still out on the table, there is dishes everywhere, the floor is dirty from people walking in and out, and the Springer brat threw up in the kitchen," said Levi as he gave Eren a glare

Eren had no defense and just stayed quiet as Levi started cleaning again

"Go pick up the dishes and put them in the sink," ordered Levi

Eren just nodded and went along with it as Levi went to find a mop in the storage closet located near the bathroom which was on the other side of the apartment

Once Eren was alone he let out a groan. He hasn't been able to look at Levi properly after the incident that occurred more than 5 hours ago.

~Flashback~

"YESSS!" screamed everyone after the kiss under the mistletoe that they so wanted

Levi let go Eren first and then ask "Are you alright brat?"

Eren who was red as a tomato didn't ever say anything just nodded while whimpering a little

"Good," said Levi and then turn away to get a drink

"Aww Levi don't be a party pooper!" said Hange

Everyone just left to go do something else after the shocked they had after seeing Levi seem so uncaring about the situation and they started to believe that they might have upset him. They started to feel guilty but no one said anything but instead just left. The only person that didn't look upset was Mikasa.

Eren was still stun and only with Armin patting his shoulder and apologizing to him over and over again

Eren told Armin "It's alright," as he was getting his voice back in order.

After that Levi act like if nothing happened and everyone just assumed he didn't care but they did seem to still be feeling guilty with Eren.

Eren saw that Levi acted causally and that slightly hurt him, seeing as that maybe Levi didn't feel anything special for him and to him it was just a kiss with no meaning.

"Oí how come you haven't finished?" asked Levi

"Ah sorry!" said Eren as he started to the chore that he was assigned

"Idiot," muttered Levi

They spend more that 2 hours cleaning but during that time no words were said between them.

Eren decided that it was best not to bring up the topic of that kiss ever.

What happened that day, will stay on that day.
